TSR6 - That's the "Brake pad". It was my idea; I designed it to take up the space between your finger and the brake lever. Although the glue they used on the production version doesn't seem to stick that good. Make sure you clean the plastic so there is no oil on it.

I posted this the other way, before I saw to post questions here, sorry.
what Hitec servo would you suggest? I want one that is durable and that I wont need to upgrade soon. I am putting this in a T3 with a lynx 3d spectra radio.
thanks
What about the Hitec/RCD HS-625MG Speed Metal Gear Servo? How good is it?

Good question, I have no Idea. I'll get Mike to answer this one for ya.
Troy, you could do that. Just make sure you have the polarity correct when you start to charge or you may smell smoke!! LOL.
I charge my nicad pack at .5 amp. TTYL.

If I remember right, on the 3D there is some type of "diode" between the charging jack and battery pack that is supposed to prevent overcharging the pack. If you try to fast charge the pack, the diode blows. Now, I'm not 100% positive about this, but I remember reading something about it on a board somewhere, and some of the local guys tell me the same thing. If they have to quick charge their 3D tx packs at the track, they take the pack out of the radio and plug it directly to the charger.

Alright... I guess i'll buy some plug or something to plug directly into the battery... instead of using the other plug through the 3D. If it does have a diode, it muse be in the charger.... or the battery tray though.. Must be the little doo-hickus PC board inside there...
I TK'ed my charger a while ago.... It still works, but it is time to bury it.. On the way home from the track, it was dragging out the back on my car... 1/2 the wires were.. The RX wires litteraly got screwed in the deal... and i only found bits and pieces of them... Good thing the charger itself wasnt hanging out....
And i kept hearing this hitting the car.... sounded like sand or rocks... it was the wires...
I felt so stupid that day.......

Sydewynder- No, it does not. Typically none of the aircraft ESC's have proportional brakes because all they are designed to do is stop the motor for a folding prop. They also have no neutral or "coast."
TSR6- The diode is built into the charging jack and prevents reverse polarity. This mean it will not read the peak as the battery voltage starts to drop. You also can't discharge through it. You will need to connect to the battery directly to charge it.

Gary/Mike - My radio died... again. You guys sent me a bran new radio ( so it apears ) and sent my spectra back with it. I think the spectra is bad. I removed it, and again it smelt burnt... I don't know if the radio took a hit too, but i definately think the Spectra is gone.
Man... I finally got the pack charged to start programming it so i could run tommorow.. and its dead....
Edit -- Alright i just took the batts out, and the little pc board in the radio tray is definaley bad. The little wire dealie fried and poped out. How did this happen?
I also want the Specta to be looked at... It smells like burt electronics BAD!
I don't know how/why it happened... I removed the batts, and charged the pack outside the 3D & the tray... then pluged everything in.... slid the tray in... turned it on.... Nothing happened.... Sat there... shut it off....turned it on.. nothing... then i could smell it..

I got no idea dude, it sounds like the batt pack was installed into the radio backwards. No sayin this is the case, but thats what it sounds like. Give the service center a call tomorow and let them know what happened.

Gary - I will be on chat for the next 10 min ( till 10:00 CST ) If you can, please stop in. I have no idea why this is happening.
I'll either talk to you there.. or here when you see it..
Edit - I dont think you can put the batts in backwards. From looking at the circut, the only way you could put it in backwards is by switching the pos & neg on the batt plug. The middle prong on the batt try is isolated, and the 2 outside are on the same circut... So that would rule out that possibility.. This bat is also bran new, and i never touched the plug... I didnt switch or anything.
If it is something that i am doing to it.. I need to know. I cant find what i would be doing wrong... this is just depressing.. I think i have to pay shipping this time though... My mom has paid shipping the last 2 times.
...blahh..
This is depressing...
