The reason Speedmerchant specs the old skool front-end is two-fold. First it's a TON lighter, and secondly it's a whole lot more user friendly. If you buy all the cool aftermarket stuff offered for the strut front-end it'll work pretty well, but why go through that when the Old-skool front-end is easier to deal with and maintain? It was good enough to win Mod in Cleveland and in Vegas, so it's good enough for me.

I recall Niftech had them years ago. Check out IRS's website too-MAYBE he has done them too.

One of the locals had a rev3 with a new style front suspension and IRS caster blocks and his car was really, really good. I think he was running the upper arm in the longer position.

The Carpet Knife is a link car kit that comes with the new front end.

I am using the Niftech set-up (axle, hubs, rings, etc) and like it very much. Extremely smooth so far. What is your report on Niftech other than the higher price?

Also, waiting on your e-mail......

If it wasn't for the Niftech hanging on the LHS wall, I would have bought the Reiman gear. I heard it is top notch.

I broke a Niftech axle this past sunday. Clipped the corner at the end of the straight and hit the outer wall just right. Left rear wheel hit just right to crack the axle. Love the axle and hated to see it go. It absolutely wasn't the axle's fault and it is VERY tough...the driver just bit it hard.

That is my greatest fear....pushing it too hard and tossing my car.

I have 2 pairs of the Niftech old skool front arms with the brass bushing inserts. Brand new. Make me an offer.

I also have their rocket ring diff/axle. Have been running the same one for 5 years now. Looove it! But, that isn't for sale. LOL!

Two cars, two Niftech axles...make mine Rocket Rings as well. Axles are the only things I have left from my old cars, building up two new cars to include these "used" axles.

And as mentioned, their bronze pivot balls are the poo too. And their traction compound.

Has anyone had a chance to try the new Epic Roar X in their 12th scale. I noticed one of the motor guys said it would be good for 1/12th scale. Just trying to figure if I should try it or keep running CO27's

Thanks
