I run a spektrum system with the KO Propo VFS-1 esc. Works fine. I did not need to mess with the voltage bec. But I heard others did need to adjust.

Tim, Robert Morris from KO told me to turn the BEC voltage up all the way when I started running my VFS-1/Hara Twister 2.1 and Spektrum. I have yet to touch that since switching from the SR3000's to the SR3500, and I have 2 cars with that receiver and ESC setup. The only way that I know of to get the longer antenna is to have your module sent in for service. Are you going to the TCS Nats?

Well, even if you can just bring your module by, I'll have just a few antenna's there so I can do the swap for you.

Do you it would nice if we had more then 4 connects on the RX? My issue is I have servo, esc, PT, Fan and a cap to connect, I do this wiht a Y cable, but it sure would be nice we had 5 or 6 in the RX....

More would be nice but Ive found hardwiring my fan to the ESC seems to work well. Keeps the fan on after the race with my other electronics off.

I've always preferred to solder the fan onto the ESC and wire a switch in. Even though the fans are only rated at 5v, the full voltage doesn't seem to damage them and you can leave it running while you're turn marshalling.

You could use a thermocoupler too

It's a switch that is heat activated. Basically, when he heats up to a certain point, the circuit closes and voltage passes. When it cools off, the circuit opens and the current flow is interrupted.

I think you mean a Bi-metallic switch..... a thermocouple just indicates temperature...

You can get them preset at different temperatures (50 deg C) and normally open or normal closed contacts. I've tried using them but don't anymore as its one less thing to worry about on the car. You can get them from good Electronic Parts Stores

So basicly, the red wire from the fan to the postive on the ESC and the black wire to the negive wire on ESC, correct?

You got it, but as soon as you solder or plug in your battery, the fan will kick on just so you know

Great, no problem... I think I will take Mr. Orr's sugguetion and get a small switch from Rat Shack....

I tried connecting it to the motor leads, but this did not run the fan enough to cool the motor...
