Converting a BK2 to a XXX-CR
#19
I already have the bk1 tranny and I have trinity alum. rear hubs. So would that save most of the exspense. I have a regular chassis not the graphite. I was thinking if I broke the chassis I would replace it with the cr chassis. So if I just change the steering and towers and the new ball studs and tie rod ends. Would I benifit from this. I'm trying not to get a new kit. I want to get a m11 so I would rather get that then a new car.
Thanks
Thanks

I can appreciate a budget......so get the new rear arms, cr pivot, hubs, rear shock tower, the new steering rack, and you will be good to go

i agree....what i would do...is change the steering system...and convert to the old tranny and the necessary stuff to do the conversion...and leave the rest as the original. that way..you get some sort of a "bk3" or "bk2.5"

If you run the new cr body you are going to want to run the new tower if only for the lower wing position. The old tower's lowest wing mount holes are too high for how low the new body. Just my opinion
