speed. On a small tight track it might be an advantage.
(Then again, there are others who've tried either the TA02
one-way diff or they've been using epoxy as gear diff lube
..)Drawbacks with the ball diff include
1) need to pull it out to adjust
2) sometimes the adjust screw moves by itself
3) the splines on the outdrives can strip/wearout
I have 2 cars, only one with balldiff.
There was one day that I lost a front wheel on the BD car.
Didn't realise it until half a lap later...

WC,
just logged in after 3 weeks. thanks so much for the reply. i have two chassis, i wont touch the one with the ball diff coz it has been good to me (racewise), but i will try the gear diff with heavy grease on the other chassis and try racing that.... thanks again men!

Might be a good time to bring this thread back to life, another 2 weeks before the M03-M release.
Anyone here interested in running Tamiya Mini in the 2nd and 3rd round of the Meca Challenge? Pretty sure we can get this happening if we have the numbers to back it up. Send me a PM

Can't wait to see these new mini so we can work out weather they can run at the CC or not seeing they don't have a mini body will only be the problem I think but we will leave it up to the clubs.

Might still be a few months before the distributor brings them here since the M03-M just came out this week in Japan.
I got the new F parts a few days ago which is all you need to to convert to the new spec mini. You also need 8 wheel bearings as the hubs now use smaller size and different size Kingpins
