Engines leans down a lot once tank gets to 1/4 full
#21
I just had the same problem on my TNX Pro Monster Truck ... and the solution was to use a loooonger presure line ... now i have the same engine behaviour during the entire tank ... just a "tad" lean when its almost dry (just the smell of fuel in the tank and fuel mainly on the tubing) but thats normal ...

I have the same issue. I have 5-1/2 inches of line from the tank to the carb. I have a fuel filter. I have not yet replaced the tank. I keep messing with the low and high speed needles, but I'm not getting anywhere. UGH!!!!
I do get smoke coming from my fuel tank when I open it, though.

The pressure line and the feed line should be within 1/2 an inch length of each other. I find that a slightly longer feed line works well, but you will have to prime fuel into the line before the beast will kick over.
Also, a tip I have found very usefull, is to ensure you allow the petty lid to "SNAP" shut, as if this is not AIRTIGHT, pressure will fail to build inside the tank.
