In that case, I'll be picking up a TLR 22X-4 2.0.

It was probably a FB rumour, picked up by AI, and then perpetuated. 😅

Seeing the 2.0 came out in February, I would suspect at least a couple of years, if at all for an elite.

Get it, enjoy it. It really is a nice car.

They definitely nailed it with this car, I had my elite set up basically the same way. This car is much easier for me to drive faster. Lap times improved by .5 to .7 a lap and i am still playing with the setup, really pleasant to drive.

I think the extra length in the chassis really helped calm the car down quite a bit, to where you can attack the track more.

This is particularly relevant in my case. I've just secured Team Onyx Sponsorship and will be looking at upgrading my 22X-4 Elite with 2.0 upgrades.

I'll buy the 22X-4 2.0 and cherry pick my parts, with some TLR spares left over.

In the UK, TLR spares availability isn't always guaranteed. Not that it's been an issue in my case. The 22X-4 has been a very durable car. I get parts in stock in advance.

The new 2.0 AC is 3mm longer, but I want to run my Carbon chassis and MOD lightened centre drive components. I'm going to have some fun - mixing and matching!

Decoupled slipper Vs diff?

So I have a question if anyone can jump in...

I'm still building my new 22x4 2.0 and my intention is to just build it straight from the box using stock settings/setup with only "upgrades" being titanium turnbuckles & an aluminum steering rack...

So my question is what exactly is the "tuning parts" bag? I mean, I get it's optional parts you can choose to use like the 2mm Spring cups, but what about everything else? What exactly are the other tuning options & are you guys choosing to use any right away?

its just the plastic parts to adjust things. Shock rods, cups, diff height inserts, battery spacers, castor inserts, pills, shock caps, etc.

I mean if you have the kit, just open up the bag and see for yourself… 🤷‍♂️

I did but I'm just asking so I understand everything and don't miss anything. Sorry I'm kinda OCD lol, 90% of my R/C stuff is 1/8 Nitro so going into 1/10 Electric on carpet is pretty foreign to me. Even the shock towers have these protector things I've never seen before...is this to protect the carpet I'm guessing? So it doesn't rip up the track surface or something I assume? I never thought I'd see the day I'd be driving r/c cars on carpet lol. I always wanted to venture into on-road & in a way this to me is getting kinda close.

Thanks for the help

Has anyone found a chassis protector beside Avid?

How are you guys adjusting the slipper in the middle of the chassis? Yeah I know it's a newb question but being my first 1/10 4wd electric I wanna make sure I'm not missing anything. Is there any "break in" that needs to be done? Do you just crank the nut down then back off like 1 turn?

Decoupled slipper is for carpet. Diff is for everything else.

Is 20.2 normal for filling up the diff or there was an update?
It seems low.
What are you guys using?
