so I’ve done both scales show 60 grams heavy on front left tire and when doing the coin method the front left tire lifts so much later than the right it almost looks like the tire is sticking to the surface.
Have you tried removing everything down to the bare chassis to see how far off it is from the start? If even, then add the servo, motor and battery and check again. Keep adding the rest of the electronics while checking balance after each add. Hopefully you will discover the issue that way. Personally, I never use scales because I know I would obsess over the splits, lol. Also, not sure if it has been corrected, but I have never had an XRay F1 car have the same ride height all the way around the car. It is always off by 1-2mm but tweak will still be good. Not sure if that is the same issue or not.

Check the shims on the kingpins and make sure both sides have the same amount both under and on top of the steering block. If they're not even that will throw it off. Also, check your ride height shims and make sure they're even under the front standoffs. Oh, also check to make sure the set screw on the steering blocks are both snug, and make sure that when you tighten them down to press on the top of the king pin to ensure that the steering blocks are equal to each other. If one is higher or has any gap that will throw it off as well.....

What's a good starting point for asphalt tires? Surface is medium - med-high grip. Have a 2017 and 2018 X1s I'm trying to rehabilitate for my son. I see some preglued options but I don't have any issues gluing tires to my old, or new, rims if needed.

Hello,
I am looking to upgrade my F1 car. I am thinking about the 25 X1, has anyone run the car on black ozite CRC carpet yet? I will be running the car with rubber tire at 190mm width and 25.5 blinky speedo.
thank you

The X1 '25 has been the best F1 car I've driven to date. My home track is black ozite carpet, and we just replaced it with the latest generation, so there's plenty of grip. I'm running the CRC F1 tires with the front sidewalls glued. I've made a few small changes from the kit settings, but not many. If you decide to pull the trigger on this kit, let me know if you want my setup. I would HIGHLY recommend this car.

Helped tune an X1 25. It handles extremely close to a Schumacher Icon (no surprise since its design is very similar)

Get the Exotek tires/wheels, front = #2194 (red dot 38X medium), and the rear = # 2252 (white dot 22X carpet soft) for CRC black carpet. You will need to glue the sidewalls (front and rear), though how much depends on the grip level and size/speed of your local track. While the carpet may be the same as all other CRC black carpet tracks, depending on the types of cars and use level, the amount of grip will vary substantially.

The eXcelerate F1 rear tires are softer than the Exotek 22X tires. After a few hundred laps my eXcelerate rears developed a ring of death on the inside. These flexed and rolled so hard that I had to glue the entire rear side wall even though some said the rears would need no sidewall glue. The eXcelerate rear tires are probably best for smaller tracks, or newer carpet that's not grooved and tacky yet. The rear tires wear much faster than the Exotek rears, so keep an eye on them after you get a few hundred laps on them. The positive about the eXcelerate wheels/tires is that they were roughly 8g lighter per wheel/tire knocking just over 30g off the car.

I run either a EA 4600 or 6000, whichever one I can get, lol. But wouldn't go any bigger than the 6000.

Default Montech body and front wing chart?

Just curious if there is some sort of chart that shows the compatibility for montech front wings and bodies?

for example, I can get an f17 body, which should fit with the f17 front wing, but will it fit the 22 front wing?

Looking to put a spool on my x1 2025, is there any cheaper options than the 100 dollar xray spool? I also don’t wanna get stuck using their sour gears.
