Pics of my 12i as it is now, just as it came off the track in 1986. We were using the early speed control from Novak but couldnt get it to complete a full 8 minutes so went back to a resistor the last couple of races before I went back to school. Never raced again, but still have an interest. Maybe someday. I'm bummed that it still has this Monte Carlo body instead of one of the nicer TOJs. But those factory lightweight versions we had didn't hold up well so I probably tossed them.

I too started my RC adventure with a 12i. Since I didn’t know any better, and neither did anybody else at our parking lot races, I ran mine with the 7-cell stick pack and mild modified Kyosho motor that the guy at the hobby shop recommended when I bought the thing. That car remained undefeated at the parking lot races for several years. Gee, I wonder why. 🤪. I’ve been enamored with 1/12th scale racing ever since.

My '82 worlds car. (what's left of it)
Handout motor from Midge Husting's Killer's Classic at Yorba Linda R/C Speedway, '92.
2 degree caster front suspension courtesy of Curtis Husting. The graphite chassis I did myself with a Dremel.

Anyone have the Comp Plus with the 1/12th 6 hour enduro at The Ranch? '84 or '85?

ball diff on a Plazma? Can you tell me more?? My biggest problem with these cars is the fact that a tiny pebble can send me home with a stripped spur gear because the diff is so exposed...
Thats a nice list,I might as well list my cars that are runners.
Kyosho Plazma MK2
Kyosho Impress X2 one with the carpet kit
Kyosho Fanthom MK1
Abc Carrera
Abc Spark
These are the cars that I have that are runners,I like my Plazma the best as it now has a ball diff so I dont have to search for wheels as often.
For your Cyclone I should be able to dig up dimentions for the chassis plates. If you want to cut your own. If I had more money I would be running my Ayk RX3000 but as far a classic goes here Ayk is the most popular/expensive in Japan.
Let me know if you need the plate sizes.
