Well the cramping is a bit better, so after driving all day to go with my son to by a new truck, I ran a set of Box Stock laps and started a Stock set and snapped the pin off the Rt Front Steering Knuckle (factory plastic), and my fingers started locking up, so I called it quits for the night. My laps were after midnight, so if they don't count, it's cool with me, as I didn't think I would be able to drive at all for this month anyway.
Class- BoxStock
Date-09/01/2024
Location- Central Texas
Race Time- 5:58.903 / 358.903 seconds
Fastest Lap- 4.331 seconds
Chassis- MR03
Body- Audi R8 2015
Wheelbase- 98mm
Wheels- F- PN BBS +1mm N/ R- PN BBS +1mm W
Tires- F- N PN KS Med LH / R- PN KSM Radial Soft (worn to slicks)
Motor- White Endbell Kyo
Batteries- HiTec 750Hv
Front Springs- PN Purple
T-Plate- PN #4
Motor Mount- stock MM
Dampener (If applicable)- Stock Spring Shock
Dampener Fluid (If applicable)- 15K
Gearing- 7/ Stock Gear Diff
Notes- To start off I thought my board/motor was going bad because the car had no speed, so after 50 laps or so of trying to figure it out, I found the front clip mount screws had backed out and were dragging the track! SO quick check of all the screws and it was running well again. I also had PN KSK40* LH on the fronts, and even with the steering d/r at 70% it still had too much steering, so I went to some KS Med LH tires and bumped the steering d/r to 90% and it's sooo much better. The car is good but slow compared to my brushless cars. I'm still trying to decide weather to keep this as a BoxStock chassis, or bump it to Stock with a V3 PN 94/98mm Motor Pod and PN 70T. The switch between brushed and BL is a lot for MY mind to deal with.

This is my non-finished due to breakage of knuckle and hand malfunction. It is a 12C on a PN 2.5W chassis w/ Multi Mount pod and 3500kv. It was much too fast after driving the BoxStock, and I was in the wall way too much, thus the snapped knuckle!
It also has Kyo +1.5mm wheels, so I think I'll go back to PN +1mm to protect the tire from grabbing the wall when rubbed! MOst of the turns into the first 90* off the straight I was on 2 wheels. An ok run, but sloppy

Ready to try a new layout CW! Ya got something tricky or fast planned PoorBoy?
It was AWESOME to see all the drivers both New and Seasoned!!
From all over the world too! FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

I just switched to the new layout, and I remember running it when I first started, and it was a HUGE challenge 2 years ago and it still isn't easy! I turned my Stock chassis D/R from 78% steering/90% throttle on last nights run on the old layout to 90% steering/74% throttle. I feel like I'm very "squirty" in the throttle and have a hard time being smooth! Anyway here's my times for a 25 lap test stent to get a benchmark for the beginning of the month. When I was able to run a smooth lap 4.1 was good! It's the last Dog Leg going into the straight that bones me still 2 years later!

This was after about 50 laps to learn the new layout.
the 12C is on Marka LH fronts (pretty new and still have the mould line mid tire) and PN KSM Soft Radials half worn on the rear.

EDIT and weaker batteries can help because you can't do much with the extra punch of good AAAs on this layout. But definitely a lot more work and much more intense to drive. We had very little participation in June and July 2022 when we last ran this layout, but I managed to beat my June time after a couple of runs. Not sure if my driving is that much better, or its my front tires providing more steering. Suspect its the latter, as I was on Kyosho fronts two years ago which don't have nearly the steering that the PNs I currently run do. Drive fast!
