If you want to run a Ma-020 box stock class we can add it. I will run it with you and assume we might find a few others to join in.

PS welcome to the challenge.

I also have MA-020. I tried one once for drifting... but I think I'm not really a drifting guy so they sit on the shelf... could also put one in this challenge... but I know nothing about them, I never tried them with grip tire... could be fun tho!

Yeah mine is a ma 020 buddy gave it to me because it had a blown rear diff so I went through it and rebuilt it so haven’t run it much but would like to give it a try. A lot of guys say the awd cars do really well on carpet. I will get some pictures posted as soon as this site will allow me to. I don’t have Facebook so I can only post them here

To the guys running the PN KS Medium front / Marka V1R10 combo:

Are you running the low profile PN slick or the regular ones trued down?

Also, does anyone have any insight on the Marka V5F25 / Marka V1R10 combo that the Italians ran in the past?

Might purchase a mix and try some things for myself but looking for any thoughts. Seems the PN / Marka combo is well liked and consistent.

This would just be for Box Stock for now.
Thanks

Either. Still true them down and glue the sides. When the diameter gets low enough that I don't have enough steering with the D/R all of the way up, remove the sidewall glue or harder spring.

From my first few runs, this is going to be a quick layout.

Well I spent the end of the month helping my Parents, so I didn't get any times, but I wanted to run the track before switching it to the new layout. I got my Kyosho LM MR03 pod and gear diff in, and put it on my Ready set chassis with a PN 70T. It is my first time using Kyosho's plastic disk damper, and I like it better than the factory spring shock, but not as much as PN's carbon damper. The Kyosho isn't as smooth, so I added Ruby Lube, which helped alot.
While I LOVE the look of the Yota GT One, when you have the wing, top scoop, windshield, front and rear diffusers, and inner front body panels in it tops the scale at 44g and that's before any paint!!! When my 787B is 38g with paint, Green Jomu w/ Lexan window and wing is 29g, McLaren 12C w/Lexan window and factory wing is 26g and my no roof Jomu, stripped, sanded and ready for paint is 18.7g and the roof is 2.5g trimmed and ready to install, so 21.2g before paint.
Anyway the GT One might be better run on a ProStock Chassis, because even with the PN70T, it was slow a sluggish.
My time on last months layout with the GT One was 6:43.9 with a fast lap of 4.540 and longest streak of 5 laps at 56%. Then I switched to my 787B and ran 6:19.2 with a fast lap of 4.586 with a streak of 20laps at 80%! No other changes other than +2mm wheels from +3mm. The 787B is much more stable with no Traction Rolling! Next I ran my Green Jomu at 94mm and time was 6:21.3 with a fast lap of 4.548 and streak of 16 laps at 77%. My steering hand is having problems going numb from nerve damage so my times could be better as well as not driving much the last few weeks. I tried to run my 911 and it didn't go very well. 75 lap time was 7:06.6 w/ fast lap of 4.901 and longest streak of 14 laps at 63%. I didn't have the exact control needed with the SWB RM cars today. Oh well, off to setup the new layout!
We will get our new A/C tomorrow!!! YEA!!
GREAT to see all the new faces!!!

Just tried an MA-020... But it look like they really like to have the wheel looking at the sky... there is no way I could push without flipping it. This thing is springy as hell.
I put Kyosho 30 radial all around, lower the supension with 1mm shim (tried 2mm but it was to much), I glued the side wall completly... it help but not that much.
Any tips for the AWD

And by the way it's pretty dead here lately... is there some racers this month?

I am far from an expert on setting up the MA-020 but I am guessing the radials tires are the issue. I put a few runs on mine but have yet to figure out how to get this one around the track fast.

Nice work. We have a race now. I will see if I can catch up with you when I get my track setup again.

Ronny, I'm going to post times in Stock, ProStock, Porsche for sure, and I hope to have my MX-5 painted up so I can run Narrow and MX-5 too. My rt arm nerves have my hand pretty jittery, which isn't too bad on the layouts like last month, but it shows in the fast layout like this months. SO my times vary day to day depending on the twitch.
I think more day to day posts get posted on Face Book. I peak in every once in a while, but I hate the adds so it's rare I visit. I'm thinking on trying my Porsche body on my MX-5 chassis, so I can run both Porsche and Narrow/MX-5 with tha same chassis. Next change the 2nd RM(03EVO) chassis, into a Stock chassis, Then my Stock (03 ReadySet) back into a BoxStock. Main thing stopping me is lack of BoxStock LEGAL body. I have a McLaren F1 Short tail and a NSX that would be within the rules, but I couldn't find a good setup with the F1. And I screwed my NSX up gluing the body clips in at factory height, and it Traction Rolls bad!

Anyway, What's yalls favorite BoxStock body? Also I'm very intrested in seeing how yall fare with your AWD cars! The mechanics of them intrigue me.

p.s. the NextLevel Timing software has been giving me problems lately. It loads and recognizes and auto sets up the timing hardware (EZ LAP), but after I pick out the race format, and press start, it tries to start a race. But the countdown timer doesn't start, then a few seconds later it gives me an error message. So I have tried closing and reopening it, sometimes a few times, to get it to start a race correctly.
I've tried restarting the Laptop to see if it helps, and it doesn't. Should I try uninstalling/reinstalling the app?

Hey guy’s was doing some weighing just to see jom body stock: 36 grams, chassis and body 130 grams, batteries ikea 36 grams and 48 grams for my gen ace batteries

Walt

ps we’re still looking for a place to setup a full Mini96 WC track, but I love to chat with y’all here, if I’m disturbing this thread tell and I’ll stop.
Drew I have a box stock body ( Ford GT) but I’ve changed too much on this chassis ( my only one so far) and I can’t find a proper front mount for it, that’s why I bought the jom gt01 love that body

If I ever have an issue with NLT, I just unplug the bridge/USB and reconnect it. And that is all it takes.
