actually I mean step 10, page 7, it already shows x2 M2.5x10mm FHCS going into what it is showing on Step 16. So putting screw into screws?!

Sounds like you're moving faster than my build!

Ah, good catch. I'll have take it apart when I get home and see what I did.
And yes, I ran it in the "scramble" class at a race yesterday. I had issues with Reefs RAW100 mini servo not returning to zero during the heats,,, and finally broke the center out of one of the wheels from Amazon. The rubber worked, but the wheel, not so much.
I deburred the shock pistons, and then drilled the pistons 1.2mm, and used the 30wt shock fluid that came in the kit. I may try 25 to 27.5 in the rear shocks next time.
I left the timing of the HW 2848SD at zero, but added 18 degrees in the esc. I overlooked that it's a four pole motor, not a two pole, so the timing came in faster.
As the motor has an 1/8th inch shaft, I used a Hot Bodies 17 tooth pinion, but had to open up the motor plate for it to clear. Also had to trim the ear back on the drive shaft cover.

Yeah, that's a mistake in the manual,,,,,, The chassis isn't countersunk for those two M2.5x10mm FHCS. If you put them in, You wouldn't be able to install the two rear screws for the front skid plate.

Thanks for confirming I wasn't going mad!

Cool paint job! Some good tips too. I have no idea about timing, will read up.

Did you set up the shocks with any rebound or just leave them neutral?

I built the shocks per the manual except when I bled the shocks, I installed the bottom spring perch on the shaft, and then compressed the shock shaft to bleed them. Speaking of spring perch, the upper adjustable collars were missing the black o-rings that go onside the collars to keep them from turning. But at least the red o-rings were there for the cap.

In step 17 I am finding the M2.6x 8mm BHST screws are really tight going through the metal caster block bushing. did you find that?

Strange, I have M2.5 x 10mm button head cap screws there instead of the M2.6 Self tappers. And I don't see how the M2.6 would fit anyways. They must have made a change?

Thanks for checking. Yeah the M2.6 won't fit. I do have M2.5 x 10mm BHCS so will try those!

ESC and motor arrived.Hope this is the right kit! I'm guessing I need wires and bullet connectors for the motor too.
