Default Crap runtime

Hoping for some advice on my ET410.2.
Just built it this week.

Threw in a Castle Sidewinder 5700kv combo
Zeee 5000mah 2s
15t pinion
Proline SCT Street fighters

Rips great for about 6 minutes and then drops to what feels like 70% power for the next 12-15 minutes after 3.6v and before LVC which is set to 3.2 "auto lipo".

Does the exact same thing with both new identical batteries.

Should I have bought a lower KV motor?
am I missing a setting on the ESC?
Do these batteries just suck?

I have a handful of cars and trucks and this has never been this noticable so early in the run.

Thanks all!

Barely warm. Motor and ESC are hovering around 80-90° but it's also cold out (for Florida) at about 55°.

Has anyone bought the prostar aluminum bulkheads for the 410? They are $160 so you can buy 6 plastic ones for the same cost. I hoping to get a first hand review.

hmm, here with these we usually push the lipo mah to the max that we can fit into them with the hotter motors which a 5700kv 4 pole can be (by comparison, using 4600Kv 4 pole here and buddy uses the 5100Kv Pro2 Tekin motor which Ithink is also 4 pole). we use our vehicles for racing so looking to may anywhere between 5 to 8 minutes racing speeds, etc on 1/10 to 1/8 scale tracks.

I'd probably suggest trying out a higher capacity battery see how that feels first.

during those 12-15 minutes, will it have spurts where it feels like it's 100% or is at that 70% power level for that entire time? the reason i ask is that if that full power feeling comes and goes during that time, it's probably voltage sag and the esc is going in and out of LVC. if that's the case, i'd just lower LVC to 3.0v.

Those zeee packs are good bang for the buck on Amazon but I've had some last for years and some only one day. Maybe it's hitting on your v cutoff under load? Now that I think about it I don't think I got more than 8 minutes out of mine.

Raced against some of those PR Truggies, and as you are seeing they are very durable and handle like a similar layout 4wd buggy.

As for beating the PR Truggies, I'd say examine where it is that you feel the PR truggy excels over the ET410 and then vice versa and talk to the fast driver of the Tekno's on what he is doing for "X" condition, etc.

Two weeks.

(That is always the answer: two weeks.)

I know its not a very popular class in most areas but where i'm at it has a good turn out and looks like a fun class. With 2 new SC trucks released recently I was wondering if we would see a new EB or ET anytime soon. I would expect the buggy first so maybe 4 weeks to the ET????? Joking aside I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about an updated truck or buggy.

I do see the class being ran as a second to 3rd class at some 1/8 scale tracks. Trucks seem to work well for that.

Sorry I missed this. I guess everything is normal. I ended up getting a ProTek 3s shorty pack and it's amazing for playing around.

That ET, if running that 5700kv motor, must be insane to see/drive on 3S . Actually, it would be insane for me on 2S.
