Someone said 66hz, but I haven't seen any documentation. Based on my experience, that number doesn't surprise me, it's not a race radio IMO.

Could be, it is within the limits of analog servos.
I think for today's technology a bad choice, they could have a wider market if they did support at least 200 or 333Hz frame for a faster response.

Do you know the frame rates for Sanwa and Futaba protocols?

Sanwa SSR has 384Hz with a center pulse width of 0.3msec (normal it is 1.5msec.)
Futaba SR goes up to 833Hz with a center pulse width of 0.76msec (so called small band servo signal known with by gyro controlled heli tail servo's)
Normal Futaba "digital" works with 333Hz with a normal sevo pulse width of 1.5msec which is a common limit for digital servo's
Spectrum RC does not go higher than 200Hz with the standard pulse width of 1.5msec

Speed/latency seems like it is slow for competitive racing as I have seen from various reviews.

Because in the manual there is no talk/setting about analog/digital servo's I am afraid the framerate is old fashion 50Hz.Also written in this topic that someone mentioned 66Hz. That is slow for todays standards.

I looked at the X8 but after reading the manual the telemetry features sucked. No GPS, temp or RPM.. I still prefer a Spectrum 6r pro which is discontinued.

You guys are all missing the point here. It’s a $300 radio system with touchscreen, fpv capability, and lots of program options. It isn’t by any stretch of the imagination going to be marketed to compete with A 10PX or M17. Possibly a Flysky NB4.
it’s a great system for the casual club racer and basher that’s want to jump into a computer radio system and get all the cool features and step up from rtr crap.

Not much RTR drivers will spend 300 dollar for a transmitter and in the range of 149 to 250 you do have high speed (up to 333Hz) transmitters from Sanwa and Futaba for the serious clubracer who is not looking to the bling factor. I am pretty sure the RC8X does not need hardware changes to boost up the speed unless all the telemetry stuff does need the lower frame rate.

I purchased the RC8X strictly as a basher radio. Mostly because I wanted a quality transmitter that was loaded with features, had lots of channels, inexpensive receivers, and most importantly, lots of model memory. To me it's the perfect transmitter for anyone with a lot of RCs that are ready to go without having to use multiple radios.

any real racer is not looking at Radiolink at all. and all the entry lvl Futaba and Sanwa Radios are not full color touchscreens with fpv potential and around the $150-$300 range so yes Bashers will be looking at this Transmitter. Thats the reason I got one. BUt I like my Flysky better. use the Futaba 7PX and 10PX for Racing. I also know multiple people that bought the RC8X strictly for bashing and or crawlers.

i like to know how this radio works after alot use.

I need a good radio with alot settings, touchscreen. and receivers must be cheap because i have more than 20pc different RC Cars i drive now.
10+ different rigs summertime, about 10pc wintertime rigs , these are in use mostly

will cheap 6ch dumbo receivers also bind to this, the ones with Gyro ?
i have many rigs with dumbo gyro 6ch receivers in.


i know that radiolink have receivers like these, maybe just rebrand, dumbo and radiolink is same ? just different brands? or ?
