But it seems the DumboRC is the same as the radiolinkthe case, the sticker and even the naming is too similar)
6 channels gyro receiver R6FG (radiolink.com)

Then.... at the product specs of the transmitter is written:
RC8X is also compatible with the 4 channels mini receivers R4FGM/R4F designed for Mini RC cars, the 6 channels receivers R6FG/R6F,
So if DumboRC has not programmed an own transmission protocol (I think not) then yes, it will work.

I've got both radios, but spent 10 min. looking for my DumboRC and couldn't find it, sorry.

I'm 90% sure someone has tried it and it didn't work IIRC.

sad you did not find one DumboRC Receiver to try bind this with Radiolink

I believe it will work 90%

The look 100% Identical.,
they are made 100% in same factory in Shenzhen.

Could the Protocol be different ? hmmmmmmm

Happy to know
i have many rigs with DumboRC Receiver. i hate the Dumbo Transmitter.
Love the range and cheap Receiver prices with Gyro from Banggood, many times at sale 10$
Great if you have like me MANY RIGS, also RC Boats , and Speedrunning = need of range that others dont have !

LOL, apparently it was ME that tried this 3 years ago with the RC6GS (uses same receivers as the RC8X).

I didn't post an update, but my recollection is it didn't work.

Thank you for info.

So then Radiolink and Dumbo have different Protocol.
Sad to hear.

Then i know not to buy this Radiolink.

I hade that Dumbo Transmitter, only the Receivers are great. Have run many packs in different Dumbo Gyro receivers , hard bashing. No issues at all.
Wish Dumbo did one nice Digital Transmitter very soon

FYI, Radiolink told me they will be making new receivers that allow you to run digital servos down to 3ms. This should be 333hz if my math is right, you will also need to update your firmware to v1.1.5.

My guess is these will be available in the next month or two.

Every Transmitter brand uses their own protocol like Futaba, Sanwa, Spektrum, Radiolink, Flysky, etc. there is companies that mak clones of the Recievers for multiple brands like Damsko, Orange Rc and some others but I do not trust clones some work great some are terrible. but I wont risk my rigs with them.

Is it worth the money?

I need a good radio with alot settings, touchscreen. and receivers must be cheap because i have more than 20pc different RC Cars i drive now.
10+ different rigs summertime, about 10pc wintertime rigs , these are in use mostly

will cheap 6ch dumbo receivers also bind to this, the ones with Gyro ?
i have many rigs with dumbo gyro 6ch receivers in.

i know that radiolink have receivers like these, maybe just rebrand, dumbo and radiolink is same ? just different brands? or ?

please help

i love this radio
i will buy one 100% if my dumbo 6ch gyro receivers will bind, i have about 20pc of these already.
Have one professional looking radio with touchscreen would be a dream for me.

I believe many who buy this radiolink have also dumbo receivers in some car ? please try bind one and test if it works and give me info.
that would be kind from you

very happy to know if it works
I know many that have been using the RC8X for a few months now and love it. and as Razor RC stated they are updating its firmware and new receivers for low latency and digital servo use. that will open it upto the entry lvl racers and budget racers. As I have stated I bought it on release to try it out and its very similar in feel to the Futaba 7PX with different software. i actually liked it better as you can change the colors of everything and make it how your want it. If I didnt already have the Noble and many receievers I would have kept it.

Hi Yall. I currently have the RadioLink RC4GS V3. With me getting into normal 1/10 club racing, its not going to cut it for me. Been looking at this RC8X, the FS NB4, and the Futaba 4PM. I feel like you get more for your money with the RC8X which comes with a lipo, carrying bag, 2 receivers, and some other little stuff (lanyard, telemetry cable)

I am just worried about the latency, and how it will do in the long run.

With my current RC4GS V3, I had the back half of the trigger broke off, and the battery tray door broke. Functions, are great. Plastics and the feel, no. Also not to mention it looks like a older radio that is like 10 or more years old with the external antenna and the LCD screen instead of a full color screen and touch screen. (Which the screen part is the down side with the 4PM) I also heard that the NB4 screen is hard to see outside.

I plan to get a new radio and I will be using it for 1/10 club racing. 1/10 drag racing and bashing outside.

If I had the money, I would go for the 7PXR or M17 but I don't have 600/700 dollars.

I have been looking into getting an RC8X or a DX5 Pro or a 7PXR but i'm really interested in the Radiolink RC8X since the receivers are cheap, they are water resistant, have good range and has gyro receiver options. I have looked into the Spektrum because i few of the vehicles i want to buy next come with DSMR receivers already installed and i all i have to do is bind them and set them up. and finally i considered the 7PXR even though it doesn't have features of the other radios except the touch screen of the RC8X but i already own 4PM old model and 6 T-FHSS receivers already in my vehicles. Can someone tell me which one i should go with it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No one knows if the new high frequency receivers make the radio usable for racing because they’re not available yet. But I have one coming in today and will definitely be comparing it vs the Noble and my trusty Sanwa MT-44.

Has anyone figured out the frame rate on the RC8X? I am also assuming it will be using the included receivers (RC8FG, RC4GM)
I plan on using the radio with my RC6FG receivers, they might be a little higher/lower frame rate.

The new firmware supports 3ms, 4ms, and 14ms with the upcoming V2.1 receivers, which I guess translates to something like 333, 250, and 66hz. If you're using the older receivers (V1/V2), I think it's 60-66hz.

I couldn't get 3ms to work with my 333hz servo (MKS HBL550LX), so not sure what's going on there, but 4ms is pretty fast too.

I have 3 R6FG receivers.
2 are R6FG V4 receivers that came with my RC4GS V3.
1 is R6FG V5 receiver that I got off of Amazon's RadioLink store

I was thinking about receiver size and limited space in my B74.1D.
The R8FG looks a little bit bigger. Even with 2 antennas. Would it be a problem for my B74.1D?
The R4FGM would be the perfect size for my Losi Mini B.
What I have in my car right now is I wrap the antenna around and tape it to the receiver. Doesn't really affect range as I am racing on a smaller - medium size carpet track.
Antenna-less receivers might be better. I know Futaba and Sanwa has a few antenna-less receivers that look pretty cool. But it's too expensive for me.
If RadioLink made antenna-less receivers, that would be nice.
I was looking at Futaba radios and receivers last night. I would be needing 3 extra receivers for my 3 other cars (Losi Mini, Slash 2wd, Rustler 2wd). They are around 70 dollars. Meaning $210 just for 3 receivers. It's just insane.(for me at least because I am 14 and getting into club racing)
