With most kart/bike shops you can find race grade cator oils, I have a liter of Euro Racing-1 at hand when needed as extra oil in the fuel. Other people just buy plain castor at the drug store.

Yes, the meter is a simple 2 dollar ammeter measuring the amps of the electric motor. Because of the pinch the readout is not stable but still it is a good indicator, at the end when the pinch is lower the readout becomes lower and more stable.

The motor selection 12v 840rpm should be good, I assume this is the max rpm. For PWM controller can it be a simple one or one with a digital display?

Due the lower gear ratio with a twice as much rpm motor you also get half the torque, if you then lower the rpm to 400 by a voltage change then you also get half the torque, so you will have a quarter of the torque than an 400rpm motor. In my link there was a 420 rpm motor.

Castor oil isn't vegetable oil. It does come from a plant, but it's not digestible. This is important because the properties that make it not digestible also make it a much better engine lubricant than vegetable oil. Using vegetable oil from the grocery store won't work, partly because its smoke point is too low for use inside a combustion engine, and partly because it doesn't dissolve in alcohol, which is necessary for proper oil delivery in an alcohol-powered engine.

Castor oil from the pharmacy (sold as a laxative, again because it's not digestible) works fine, though. I've been adding a small amount (about a shot-glass-full per gallon) to my nitro to raise its oil from 11% to 12% for years.
