Hi everyone, I am in the process of building my et410.2 and I decided to go with the Hobbywing Xerun XR8 SCT combo with either the 4300kV or the 5100kV motor.
I won’t be competitively racing, just driving around the local track with friends and occasionally bashing around the yard. The local outdoor clay track is typically loose and dusty with a 140ft straightaway. If we get there early enough we will occasionally spray down the track with water to help with traction.
What would you recommend? 4300kV or 5100kV? I’m open to any other motor combos that are below $200 also.

Well I'm almost finished building my ET410.2. I have chose Hobbywing Quicrun for my electronics. It looks like they have done a running change on the Quicrun motors. The old mounting plate was part of the entire can. This new version it's a separate 4-5mm thick piece of aluminum. I was unaware and glad to see this. I ordered it straight from HW. Plus I'm running the Quicrun 120bl ESC.

My kid got an ET410.2 for his birthday and will need to outfit the electronics. He's out mowing the grass to make money as he has to pay for it.
As such, he'll need a budget friendly servo for it. He runs a savox in his associated buggy right now and it has been fine. Tending to go that way for this. I have had good luck with protek servos too, but they cost a little more.
He will be racing this on a smallish indoor carpet track running foam tires and a mod motor.
What budget servo have y'all had good success with?

I'm using a power hobbies 209MG. Bought from my LHS. Only $45 and turns the wheels quite well.

I designed a wiring guard for the ET410.2 - It is held in by the front chassis brace and chassis recess, so no hardware required and is extremely lightweight.

So I caved and bought an et410.2 to race with my kid at the local carpet track. The class seems like a lot of fun so I'll give it a try. Already run 2wd and 2wd buggies.
Anyway, what parts are different between 410 and. 2? Mostly concerned when I break a part and making sure I get the most current replacement parts.
I plan on the carbon fiber center diff brace and fan mount and a cf front shock tower. Anything other than an AL servo horn i need to be considering?

Overall they are a blast. I found with my 6.5T motor, running my throttle EPA down to 80% shaved .5+ seconds off my lap times. It was much more like a 13.5 wheeler and way easier to drive. Slowing down the servo speed or getting expo dialed helps tame the steering.
