Are Tamiya F1 tires made by Shimizu?

Only the Tamiya 1031 and 1032 but they are discontinued.
Schumacher purchased the Shimizu assets.

Used to be a looonnng time ago. 1031/1032. All the other Tamiya tires aren't much good. Stick with CRC/Schumacher. They purchased Shimizu's molds and compounds. Still the best tires, none of the others come close enough to be considered.

X-ray gear diff on black carpet. What you guys using for diff fluid?
Manual says 5000-10000 car dependent on traction. I've heard some people use 50000 (sounds nuts to me).
I am of the mind to follow the manual but if you have a good theory, love to hear it. (CRC/Schumacher/Shimizu tires)

I have one car I was running 50 k to 200k, and it was actually pretty good. That was out of the ordinary,, most cars I ran 5 to 7k.

Maybe I will start at 7k and go from there then. Track is tight and twisty but really high grip.
I have run a spool before but I was losing in the corner entry. Went back to tight ball diff, much better. So I am thinking of trying the gear diff with heavier fluid but still want diff action. 7k sounds good to me.

Just to let Ya'll know - I installed the new AR rear pod on my CRC F1 today. A very easy conversion. Will be testing it out this Sunday along with the new Trintiy ESC.

We did an order from RCDecals in the UK recently - was very impressed. Delivery to CA was a little over 2 weeks
Do a search on the web site for F1 - tons of options.
