Roche Rapide P12 Evo 1/12th Competition Kit

Start around 90mm rollout. So gearing really depends on tire diameter.
I don't plan to run micro tires, so cut to about 43mm I'll be at 48/72 and tune by temp from there.
Longer track? Go up a tooth or 2.... Just remember, lots of factors in gearing, motor, timing, tires, track length, track surface, etc.

Great info, thank you!

Same post as the GT12 thread... Need to trim body posts and get a setup that gets around the track. Hopefully it's close enough to begin with. I went mild with long wheelbase and wide front track so I can dial that back as needed...

For anyone looking for a great deal on an EVO1, Roche USA is selling the leftover kits for $210.00. It sounds like the new model will likely experience a price increase given the raw material shortages and shipping issues/price increases.

I can confirm that the Xpert CI-2401-HV servo fits the floating servo mount. It's almost perfect. I spaced the servo out 3mm from the mount to better line up the link.
This servo is fast and strong. It's a bit noisy right now but hopefully it will quiet down over time. Not liking the plastic horn but very few options exist. I did find two aluminum horns that I ordered to try - NSDRC makes a 20mm and Reefs makes a 26mm which will probably be the one to use.
It would be great if Roche made a mount with 2.5mm holes because the servos mounting tab holes are 2.5mm. I opened them up a bit and the 3mm's fit fine.
CI-2401-HV
Power Supply 6.0V~8.4V
Speed (sec/ 60°) @6.0V: .085sec/60° @7.4V: .069 sec/60° @8.4V: .061 sec/60°
Torque (oz/in) @6.0V: 83.56 oz-in @7.4V: 83.56 oz-in @8.4V: 114.79 oz-in
Dimensions 23.15x29x13 mm
Weight 21g
$92

This is the chassis conversion kit but it has the part numbers for the "floating servo mount" if this is what you are looking for.
Roche - Rapide P12 EVO Floating Servo Long Chassis Conversion Kit (210238) (rocherc.com)
Roche - Rapide P12 EVO Floating Servo Long Chassis Conversion Kit (210238) (rocherc.com)
you need 3 main parts-
1. servo mount - Rapide Aluminium Servo Mount
2. carbon floating mount - Rapide P12 EVO Graphite Floating Servo Plate
3. standoff - 16mm Aluminum Servo Post
this old 2016 kit bundle will give you similar complete set of option parts at a discount as compared to the long chassis - Rapide P12 Floating Servo Chassis Conversion Kit

Can anyone give me the lowdown on the lightweight axle and hubs: 410042 & 410043? When and why would these be preferred over the standard spool axle? I currently have a diff and am looking to try out a spool. I have the option of purchasing either, standard or lightweight.
