Xpress has been around since the 90s. Making it a much older brand than Xray. Sakura is 3racing has been around for ages and is probably the biggest rc after market brand on this side of the world. SNRC has its share of race wins and following in Asia and Australia.

No doubt Xray is one of the most well known cars and is quality built, but calling the other suggested cars off brands is quite misinformed...

Don't know about the current availability of $150 Xray chassis but they have been teasing the new touring car and many anticipate the X4 will be available in the next 1-1.5 months. That will trigger a ton of T4 chassis going on the for sale threads as people upgrade. I'd stay '17 and newer I think older than that and there were some parts differences that affect reliability.

That may be the case but once again that doesnt mean they are off brands. We have no xray dealers in our country. Wr have kyosho, yokomo, serpent, snrc, vbc, arc and sakura. The only way to get xray kits and parts are via international online stores. But that doesn't give me the right to call the xray an off brand simply because it has no brand presence on this side of the world.
