They should have put a ball diff in the kit since it’s a retro style kit!

I do like it as well. Be fun to have another option for a capable rear motor buggy

Shame they didn't concentrate on doing a B6 based RTR with a plastic chassis. That might help grow the sport. Maybe the team drivers could use it too. Since plastic chassis are better than alloy I'm only half joking. But anyway, this is the opposite.

if i had a track close by i could see picking one of those up just to hang out at the track just to fart around. it's like a factory restomod, that's right up my alley.

Ridiculous price point compared to the normal RTR. No electrics?!

This new one isn't an RTR. It's a kit.

Yeah, but there is no need to start an all new thread about it.

Another mid motor 2wd buggy doesn't seem very "retro". Rear motor definitely does.

I'm excited to see this release. Not so much for the kit itself but I want that rear cab body for my RB10's

Having seen some rear motor cars running pretty well recently, I think this could be a good car under the right circumstances.

It probably would drive a lot like a RC10B4.

The body is a regular RC10 body, not compatible with our RB10 stock chassis (SR10 chassis).

I had hoped for AE to release the RB10 as a kit with threaded shocks and a rear cab body that fits the stock chassis and make it affordable. They kind of listened but not really: the chassis drives the price up like crazy, way beyond the Gforce Genova or Kyosho Dirt Master. No threaded shocks. And long-time RB10 users still don't get a classic style body that fits directly.

This is disappointing. I looked into it more and it is the RC10 Viper Body, Clear - Associated Electrics that comes in Retro kit. That being said it must fit the SR10 chassis fairly well. I don't see many differences in the new chassis besides having the rear plate being one included in the chassis. I might order one and see how well it does fit.

Somebody is going to have to test this first hand to confirm.
