Help me choose an MT!

j/k stick around if you want lol.
Actually I already made a decision. I bought an EB48SL with a 550 sensored SCT system. I'm waiting for some MT wheels and tyres to arrive from AMain to make it into a sort of an MT....
As for solid axle MT, SMT10 sounds good provided you don't push it too hard. LMT is good as well, but requires it's own rims and don't go full tony hawks....

LMT is much better than SMT if you go full Tony Hawks. You can also run almost any monster truck wheel on the LMT, but i think you need spacers for some of them. Losi makes 12mm setup for LMT.

The thing that worries me about the LMT is all the axle issues and parts availability. It sounds like, from what I have been reading, the V2 axles still don't really solve the issue either. I really would rather not spend the cost of the kit upgrading something that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place, ya know? That's why I'm kinda leaning more towards the LMT or SMT, to get the Clod to the level I'd want, I'd have to basically replace everything except for the axles, but it seems to be the top dog in this style of racing. I know your somewhat of a local authority on the LMT and am very eager to hear your report on it.

I had a feeling you'd reply.

If losi had aluminum axle upgrade I'd be all over them lol.
Also the Losi lmt 25t servo saver has been backorder since just after release so you would need aftermarket servo saver setup to run most aftermarket servos. The aftermarket 25t servo savers for LMT aren't great.

Thanks Dave, I never even looked at how much parts were $20 isn't bad, but it isn't good either when it's not available. I'm sure the parts issue will go away once the world gets over this "pandemic". See now the more I'm thinking about it today, I'm leaning more towards the LMT.
I at least know you wouldn't blow smoke up my tailpipe about the faults in this truck.

Not a fan of the Xmaxx, plus I already have a heavily modified Savage that has been converted to brushless and stretched that fills the independent suspension MT hole. I have made up my mind to get an SMT-10 and will probably pick it up today. I decided to go that way because I think the LMT would be too heavy for the brushed Sport mod setup I want to do. If I have it complete in time and tested I hope to run it here https://www.bigsquidrc.com/monster-t...p-in-november/ . This is just up the road from where I grew up and would be cool to make a debut at this.

Should have purchased the LMT from the get-go. I converted my wraith to an SMT type truck years ago before it was a corporate thing and it simply suffers too many issues from weak points that will require you to dump lots of money into them regardless of what the fanbois will tell you.
The LMT has it's issues from what I have seen (I don't own one) but it's hands down the superior truck.
