Speaking of tires, when do we toss the USGT tires? I have a set that looks like that and a set with one race day. The new ones seemed to have more grip but idk, I didn't do back to back, no time last race. My old set feels soft and balloony and the one run set feels harder and no air gap.

new tires have a performance advantage for sure. But who cares at your weekly track we just want to have fun. there will always be those guys with new tires all the time. I get 5-6 race days out of a set including practice. This is indoors on black carpet.

Practice nights are usually a dozen runs or more in a 5 hour span and 2 nights of practice.
Recently though I paid attention to how swelled the tires looked at the point they felt bad.
I normally use electric motor spray to clean them and talking with another driver we believed this to be that reason I dont get the life other racers do in tires.
USGT tires are cheap enough so its not a financial concern but performance consistency. I switched to using my tire sauce after each run for cleaning, so far Im seeing a little better tire management in them.
Chased a car for 2 days with no rear traction. Pulled an old set that was flatter on the carcass and it was like a new set almost on the car.
The motor spray could help break them in quicker but Im sticking with just using my sauce to clean them now.
