Hi,
I bought a RTR kit and the Dumborc X4 transmitter was included (have not really tested it yet other that on the bench). I know its a cheap transmitter but it seems quite ok.
However, I need more channels and I have verified that the internal electronics is the same as the X6 TX i.e. it is very easy to modify to obtain more channels (verified). In addition I want expo and channel reversal switches.
Before I go ahead and put in the effort of modifying the TX I just wanted to check if anyone has any experince with DumboRC (good or bad e.g. range, quality etc)?
Cheers!

Well, for what it's worth. So far I am very happy with the DumboRC. I planned to add expo but realized that this really is not necessary as all I need is a simple steering wheel radio to work with my 1/24 crawler. The upgrade from 4 to to 6 channels were easy enough and I also added a 3-way switch to enable CH 6 to alternatively be used as a ON/OFF switch (in my case to enable/disable power to my FPV system). I also modified the RX to enable a more low-profile use case (90 deg connector and a slim 3D printed case). Attached is few pics ....
