Absolutely, get the word out on the re-issue of these ... it will reel in the folk trying to get crazy prices ($60-70) for $15 aluminum 4 series top shafts on eBay ... good marketing move by Avid, they are getting $10-15 over the street prices on these the first time around, and people are snapping them up ...

I also bent a rear inner hinge pin, which are nearly impossible to find now. So I found and upgraded to a full set of titanium hinge pins, but even those have been discontinued now.
I wanted to upgrade to the 0 degree aluminum B44 hubs and C-hubs so I could try the shaved U-brace, but it seems the crush tube, 7933, is discontinued.

Parts are getting difficult to find. I noticed yesterday that the outdrives on my gear diff were torn up. Seems the old part number, 9830, is discontinued and difficult to find. I found a set. I think they may have updated the part number to 91465, but I can't find anyone that knows 100%. Just as they have done with the gear diff rebuild kits.

The 7933 Crush Tubes do show up from time to time on eBay, check the 'sold' listings to see how often ... I gave most of my small B4/T4/SC10 stuff I had left to a couple racers that are still using that platform, I can check with them on Saturday to see if they still have some, I think there were at least a few sets of the 7933 in there, but they may actually be the 7377 that were used in the early B4/T4 plastic hubs, they were different sizes ...

I'm curious, what would happen if I ran a shaved U-brace without switching to the aluminum C-hubs?
What is the dimensions of the 7933 crush tube? I'm assuming the only difference is the length? Maybe I can get a bit of aluminum tube and cut my own. I'll be checking out some local stores to see what they have in their old inventory.

Someone on the 3d Printer Forum posted this link to an entire 3d CAD of the SC10. If you have a 3d printer or have ever used shapeways then I hope you find this helpful! (doubt it will help with the metal parts or bearings though) grabcad.com/library/team-associated-ft-sc10

McMaster has some with a little larger OD, not sure if they would work. https://www.mcmaster.com/92510A197/. Would need to have the hubs in hand to determine if they are an option.

I've got some v2 big bore shocks on the way, can I use the standard shock bushings or are they larger in diameter for the big bores? I notice the 1780/1781 shock bushings called out int he SC10.2 manual are discontinued, is there a newer part number that works? Maybe 91815/91816/91817?
Gear diff or ball diff for med-high bite clay? I've got both. I lean towards gear diffs for ease of maintenance and the ability to tune with different oil weights, but I haven't used it on clay yet.

Edit to add: .. forgot to respond to your 91815/6/7 question ... these would fit the 5 and 6 series shock caps, too large diameter for the 4/SC10 series caps ... should you need aluminum bushings for your shocks, I have several sets that fit 5/6 series caps that I could let go ... probably a variety of standoffs as well

It depends on what the shocks came off of ... if they are from an SC10.2, they will have aluminum caps that use either the 1780 (alum) or 6473 (plastic) top shock bushing with 4/40 screw and 4/40 screw in the 1777 lower shock pivot ball ... IF the shocks came off of a 5 or 6 series vehicle, they have the plastic caps with the larger opening, and will use M3 metric screws, and 91445 (plastic) top shock bushings (or aluminum sized equivalent), and M3 screw in lower pivot ball ... ... if you are unsure of which you have coming, post a pic and I can probably tell you

They should be interchangeable and both fit the shock body ... there are replacement metal caps for the 5/6 series with the 3mm hardware bushings, so I don't know if you have those or if they are the caps used on the 4/SC10 series that uses the 4-40 hardware ... the earlier Big Bore's usually came stock with the gold shafts and the bottom eyelets were anodized blue aluminum, the aluminum caps on those used the little orange/red O-rings and tended to want to 'tear' if used a lot ... I prefer the plastic caps with the recessed bleeder screw that uses the little clear/white plastic washer under the screw, they tend to be a little easier on the O-Ring under the cap too, but then I work a lot with the shocks apart and bleeding them ...

these are the shocks I have coming in. They said they are for an SC10, I’m hoping they aren’t too short, because they look a little short.

Edit to add: .. I think I have seen that picture before somewhere, perhaps in the listing you purchased from ... can you send me the link and I can look if there are more pics there?
