Last winter I was allready told that MAX bought some machines from Novarossi. I was also told he is getting his rods from another source so there is a possibillity that his engines are hybrides...

Correct. Max has the casting moulds and produces his own parts. The only question mark will be the carbs I think. Either he has stocked up and bought plenty, or could easily look at another manufacturer for carbs, no big deal.

I'd very highly recommend Ielasi. The support you get from him is second to none! O.S. RP6 for .12 and RP7 for .21
nitrodude and LOW ET like this.

Ielasi was starting to do the same with rods as well. He had been testing titanium rods as well.

I can imagine the OS 2104 9 port engine is a devellopment of Ielasi ad maybe MAX wanting an OS 9 port engine or just the P/S sets.

I recently purchased some Novarossi C6TGT glow plugs by mistake. I was trying to get plugs for my Bonito and Roma and ordered these by mistake. They say they are intended for on road 1/10 scale. So will They not work for my engines? I don’t think where I got them from will let me return them.

If you need a nr6 plug then they will work. A plug is not spedific for onroad or offroad.

Yep no modifications. Picco is the only one with a different taper. OS and Novarossi are basically the same.

whilst that is true that both long body and short body plugs work in both onroad and offroad engines the long body plugs are better for off-road as they retain more heat and are determined as HOTTER plugs overall than the short body COLDER plugs for onroad.

So in fact there are ONROAD and OFF-ROAD plugs by the engine manufacturers. Novarossi being TGF or CT (short body) plugs for onroad and TGC or CTO plugs for off-road. OS being RP for onroad and P for off-road.

Both types of body plugs will work in both on and off road engines however choose the appropriate type for best performance.

Is the Mito GT5 engine discontinued? I want to buy some GT engines for friends back in India and possibly one for myself. Any alternatives without spending a ton of cash? Whats the best pipe/combo for the GT5 for better fuel efficiency and smooth and linear performance. I have used the Nova 9901, so something on those lines. How does the Mito 5 compare to the OS XZ-21 GT (Not R21)

The Novarossi factory appears to have closed down so finding anything Novarossi now will be very difficult. The best pipe/manifold for that engine is the NR 2015 pipe with the 41032 manifold.

The OS XZ-21 GT is a budget engine along the lines of the Novarossi ISON line - doesn't compare with the Mito GT5 which is closer to the OS R21.

To be honest now the best 3 engines for GT (still in production) would be 1. Ielasi Tuned O.S. GP5; 2. Maxpower GT5; 3. ONE O.S. GT5

Thanks for the feedback. Is the Mephisto GT5, the replacement for Mito. Looks like its higher spec than the Mito
