Very impressed with the rolling. This baby screams. Hope some will laugh I have a 41021 manifold and tried the 9901 pipe. What really unleashed this engine is using an old hobbyking 20$ pipe 🤪

I have used O.S plugs before in a Novarossi p3 or p4.

I also thought about OS glow plugs but these plugs a little bit shorter and so there is a chaniging in the combustion chamber.
The engine gets too rich.

You are correct but I did not experience an issue when I used a p3 in my p5. Some instances you can adjust your head shimming to get the compression right for the plug your using.

+1 for old pipe. I’m using 41031 manifold with old Ofna 053.

What is the Rolling comparable to? Is it like Paloma-powerful? Suitable for (bashing around in..) a truggy?

rolling is comparable to the toro nero.bonito, paloma(not the gold head 16.8 stroke)keep off 7, mito 7 and virtus as they all share the same basic sleeve with only slight timing changes. Rex welch(RWmods) has a video on youtube where he reviews it, mine was a prerun version and seems to be quite a bit different from the one he reviewed
IMO buy a GT engine and replace the front bearing, in the next year your going to see a crapload of guys switching to them in truggy. the trucks have gotten so light and the gear ratio so low the extra rpm the gt motors pull makes a massive difference.
I want to try a mito4 piston and sleeve in a mephisto gt but that might be pushing it.
throw a rubber seal bearing in this http://www.novarossi.it/2012/index.p...1gt-tuned.html and its novas fastest offroad motor

Very interesting info. Would be a great option to have for those big DNC style tracks. Why do you suggest changing the front bearing on the Ison? I looked up the Nova bearing spec and its a double rubber sealed bearing. I've ran a Mito 7 in the past in truggy and really liked it. Had good top end and pull. Been running the Speed Spec 2 and 1st gen Scudeira. Both are nice. I'm liking the reds a little more than the OS at this point.

well the mantra monty did for me is now dead, it got dusted compression was still good but there was massive amounts of play in the rod.motor ran awesome so im a bit sad monty did all that work for me(for free none the less) to blow the fugger up with so little runtime.

front bearing from what ive seen are steel shields on nova GT motors, would be a bonus not to have to change the bearing out

So the gold head Paloma is more or less powerful than those others? The Rolling has the best price.. I've got a bunch of engines which still work, and frankly don't run nitro all that much anymore(or cars at all.. More into flying..) So if I were to get any of these price would be important. I.e. I'd want the cheapest option, and the Rolling seems to be it.. So if it's really as good as a Bonito, Virtus, etc.., then that would be the right call for me I guess..
