For all you guys that converted your 419x to a 419xr, is it worth it? They are selling the kits for $150 but wanted to get some opinions first.

Id get it if you plan to stick with the car for a while. Its not faster, but theres some good QoL stuff. Getting it also means extra spares in case you break anything, especially when 419x/r parts are hard to find.

Dont have it, wanted the conversion but TamiyaUSA is the only place that has it, but doesnt ship worldwide.

Which parts do you struggle to find? I've never had an issue getting parts for my XR

I got two TRF419 which are now not needed anymore but I dont want to sell them because I think they are not worth the money you get for them...maybe someone got a 3D file of an TRF 419? I want to make a Fronti and Midmotor conversion kit and it would save some time if I dont need to measure and draw the whole car. I thought its worth a try

Does anybody know which centre pulleys will fit the 419? It's seems that tamiya have discontinued this part and both my centre pulleys appear to be worn now. (The 2 pieces which sandwich the spur gear)

Will the new 420 it fit?

Scrap that, it's in stock at RC jazz

First time racing tonight with the 420 upgrade.

Wow, my car was night and day faster it was unbelieveable. I was easily beating people who usually I'd be chasing.

Thanks. Wasn’t sure if the suspension made a real difference, but sounds like it does. Was the diff leak free? I haven’t had a chance to test it.

The suspension kit makes the 419 more responsive in the corners. It is a very good upgrade.

Still leak free at the minute, but to be fair I never really had any leaking issues before.

Yeh, it's defiantly an upgrade, I thought it was in my head at first but after my result last night the car must have improved
