I have a Pro, and I can't remember how the vertical upper-decks were attached on my P4X... Is the VTD kit compatible with Pro version? Do you have picture?
I had the impression you can mount the VTD in the front because front is quite similar to Evo, but in the rear you will have problem with upper-links, as they are fixed to the upper-deck... :-(

Honestly, the car was faster with the magnesium chassis. I hope Arrowmax will soon issue a new Mg chassis for Medius... They are coming from the same manufacturer after all....
For me the flex is way excessive! I'll try tomorrow with some stands between the lower and upper decks.

We run on high bite CRC black carpet. Today's test was awesome. More corner speed and better rotation. Car was more consistent and easier to drive hard.

Ok Medius is gone, one crash and the upper-deck is broken. It would have been nice to have a hole in the front part to put a stand but that's not the case. Before that the car seems to have a better traction but the setup needs work to get the rear back on track. I'm not sure I will order a new upper-deck as it is not available for the moment... I think I'll be back to the Arrowspace chassis for the moment...

I started with the Evo so I don't know but also the first batch of Pro upgrade kits sold out before I could get one. And now the mid pulley thing is here but only in wet noodle mode so far... so I'm waiting a bit to see what other options come out before investing more in my 4x.

I got into the 4X with the Pro version, but if I recall reading correctly about the Evo, they upgraded both the roll and heave dampers as well - so all in all, if you have acquired the complete set of parts necessary to make your 4X the equivalent of an Evo, then yes, this kit was designed as a complete “Pro” upgrade.
As it is, installation of the vertical chassis braces is still an option in lieu of the new one in the Pro’s setup sheet, but I have yet to come across anyone who has actually used them in their setup. Too much stiffness maybe?

"Most know that magnesium is lighter than a comparable aluminum part (35%), but magnesium also offers superior dent resistance for improved precision over time, and is able to be machined to incredibly strict tolerances for more accurate suspension settings. MOST importantly magnesium has the highest known damping capacity of any structural metal available! Magnesium will absorb 16 times more shock and vibration than aluminum, and 10 times that of any other metal."

I found this tidbit of info/claim of the benefit of magnesium from Team Brood:

Funny, I wish magnesium was heavier though. I like the idea of improved shock and damping but it raises the CG of the car. You have to stick even more weight on top of the chassis. Airwave, which plate did you get (solid or flex) and how much does it weigh?

If only the chassis were thicker, then they could utilize weights like they do on the 750... but then the cost of that thicker magnesium chassis would be truly ridiculous. Anyway...
Since I’m just coming back into the hobby, I’m still trying to wrap my head around the concept of wanting flex in the chassis. Back in the late 80s and early 90s we all went from fiberglass to graphite because we wanted to stiffen the chassis as much as possible and make the suspension do all the work. The theory behind this of course is that flex can be inconsistent, and thus cause inconsistent behavior. What changed in the last 25 years?
