because both the classes are supposed to be 'fun'

should/could be fun to see them compete against eachother if we would all just relax...

full scale 'RACERS' do it... why cant we?

I think most people buy the premounted USGT ride tires. I used to mount tires on old rims until I got too lazy. I never had a wobble issue. Make sure you have the old wheel cleaned off sufficiently and that there is no old rubber left on the rim.

A fwd car must run a fwd labeled body and the body has to weigh in at 95g ? YES
Seeing that no (or very very few) hatchback style bodies weigh in at or below 85g could 85g fwd bodies be used ?
Be nice to use the same body in 2 classes ADD 10 Grams

Ya I may pick up a set of premounts. I thought i did a good job gluing but I may be the culprit.

The USVTA would like to announce the availability of the new USGT Spec 21.5 racing motor (p/n GRC2000) from Gravity RC . The motor market for spec racing has become more competitive and ever changing, and challenging for the racer to navigate. As such, handout and “equalized” motor formats have become popular recently, so the USGT Spec motor has been developed to address the concerns of racers. The motors are fixed timing, with no rotor tuning options. The motors have “USGT” etched on the rotor shaft for easy identification. The motor can is also boldly marked with “USGT” lettering.

Each motor is inspected by hand for adherence to tolerances in a number of categories. Motors and motor parts outside the range are rejected before the motor ships out, ensuring quality and close standards of performance. Stator resistance, motor timing, sensor asymmetry, and rotor alignment are all variables confined to a small window to help equalize each motor.

All official standards for these motors will be published on the USVTA website shortly.

This motor will make it’s race debut at the US Indoor Championships in Cleveland, Ohio this Thanksgiving as the control motor for USGT, but racers and clubs that would like to use the motor can purchase it now from Gravity RC. The USVTA will adopt this motor as the official USGT motor in the Spring of 2020, to allow racers plenty of time to transition from the current crop of 21.5 motors.

USGT 21.5 Spec Motor (Fixed Timing) GRC2000 $79.99

I’m interested to see how this plays out.

I love the the idea of spec motors. Just hope everyone (most) gets on board this time.

So... We're back to one single manufacturer or any spec motor?
