Midshaft mount split 4X (SER401803)

Now you can get a little bit more of flex around the motor support...

So for those of us that do not have the pro version yet, we would need either the pro version or the pro upgrade before going mid motor. I'm wondering if the mid motor conversion is going to be that much faster or easier to drive. I'm already happy with the car as it is. I guess only time will tell if this is going to be worth it.

It looks like you could still use the upper deck and mounts from the Evo (except the rearmost centre post) - maybe?

I test the Medius today... Immediate thing, the balance has changed: More front, less rear (no kidding). I have the slight impression that there is a better traction but it is hard to tell... By the way the flex is outrageous! What the frak! There are a lot of hole in the center line of the chassis and I'm pretty sure I will need to add stands between the upper and the lower deck to mitigate that. In the front, please note that the holes are not aligned with the original servo support. It seems that we can use another servo support instead (original still working as it is not fixed to chassis itself)...

Love the feeling but there is a marge of improvement... Not even talking about electronics installation!

Yeah, just looking at all these conversion kits in general, placement of the electronics was my first question; you’re moving the motor significantly forward, and TBH, it seems to me that the chassis space behind the motor would be useless. I don’t know that you could effectively place the ESC back there; as it is, it’s enough of a challenge with how narrow chassis’ today are - but if you have a conversion kit, you’d be the better judge.

No wasted space here esc fits perfectly

Airwave, can you determine if the stock Evo vertical upper deck would fit - perhaps this would reduce flex?

I have a Pro, and I can't remember how the vertical upper-decks were attached on my P4X... Is the VTD kit compatible with Pro version? Do you have picture?

I had the impression you can mount the VTD in the front because front is quite similar to Evo, but in the rear you will have problem with upper-links, as they are fixed to the upper-deck... :-(

It looks like your motor fan wiring is way to close to the spur. I could see it getting hooked up in the spur or belt. You don't need that.
Also why are you hijacking the Serpent thread when you run Gizmo? lol
