The mod team still hasn’t deleted this lousy thread. Must be too busy moving other threads and being retarded.

Why Nelson glowplugs and no standard turbo plugs?

Even with standard plugs you will not notice a thing, and if you do notice a thing then it comes from a different combustion chamber that could also be made with som finetuning on the headshims and other plugs with the original chamber.

Again, the noticed differences do not come from the plug shape but more from the shape and volume of the combustion chamber and probably the type of glow wire. In the past I and some others had issues with turbo plugs and I switched to a normal plug w/o any issues and performance loss.

That those plugs can stand up to 60% tells me the engines are normally running on a low compression while our onroad engines are set to the max compression with very cold plugs leaving les space to run more nitro.

I also think it may have been put into the wrong forum, as the TRX motor is not an on road motor itself. And even should the plug handle up to 60% nitro, which may be neat and all, I do not think the 3.3 itself would be able to handle that in the long run.

Once I had a slash for a review and I must say the TRX is for a RTR engine very good and that is why it is wide used in offroad and onroad cars

Yeah, I think they had an Onroad Nitro Car too, yet I do think its better served in the other forum perhaps. Given there are more in that forum that would be running such motor.
