Can't find it anymore on novarossi direct... the engine itself, I mean.

Anyone have a P/S for sale laying around? Don't have the extra $100 to throw around for the new coupling set...

Just asking, what is the coupling set? Piston, sleeve and rod?

I had to spend $75 for a new crank as I busted it when taking a flywheel off.

I have a brand new one, not even broken in for sale and a pipe. DM me.

After I'm at operating temp (at least 220F), I can give it any kind of throttle and let it go back to idle, which it'll then idle high for 15-20 seconds, then go down to it's normal idle. It's somewhat common from the searches I've done, but I can't lean the LSN any further. I can find the perfect point for my LSN before it starts lean bogging on bottom end... Should I be leaning out the top end and then going from there?

This engine holds a tune so dang well, it starts within a second every. single. time. Stays running, too, even with a bad tune.

41001/9886 combo, #6 plug, 8mm carb insert. Fresh air filter. 25/9 VP fuel.
Looks like the issue was a leak from the pinch bolt. Sealed it up with some red RTV, after replacing the piston/sleeve (which did nothing for tune), issue solved. Sending it!

You're gonna need to cannibalize another paloma. Not looking good. Did you try contacting Novarossi Direct? That's the correct part number.

what do you guys feel are good temps for these engines relative to power?

Right now still working on tuning this and at the mains for our race saturday was coming off at like 215 or so. I wanted a bit more overall power, but maybe I am spoiled by too much turf racing (1/10) and 1/8 e buggies power delivery lol.

250° is a good range, well that is what I try and achieve. But it also depends on how the engine sounds, so you might end up at 260° or even at 240°
Cain, savage24x and Morpheus1289 like this.

Thanks! Yeah the engine runs well, starts very easily too. I wish my first foray into nitro was like this lol.

Why?
If you can make it startable you should be able ti tune it, if you can not make it start then there is something wrong.

I put it on a crono rs-5 and got it from someone else. Don't know where it should be to start with. It won't even start where it is now
