Today I was at an open house of the local RC fly club. Never had taken pics from flying opjects but I was aware that I needed a a fast shuterspeed so to go simple on it I selected the sports setting with the right outside light. Results are good.

Just a smal selection:

Here are some shots of today at my local RC fly club.

https://www.de-hlc.nl/drupal/fotoalbum/hlc-flightline-2019

Funny thing was when I arrived the guy with the microphone (I know from way back RC car racing) anounced me to his public. In a talk with him he said that he would have contaced me because the last pics were great stuff.

I must say the scale models are awesome

You can't do it yet, read the rules. Also I would like it not to do it in my thread but create your own when you are able to post pics.

I just want to share my love of the hobby with others.

In the meantime, I created an action shot album of some Slash races that we've done. Feel free to share any of these as you like.

I just really enjoy RC racing!

The new 80D camera is much quicker on the auto focus and for the best result I should have the newer version of the 100-400 lens to make it extreme fast but even a used one for 1600 euro is at this time too much....
For howmuch did you bay it?

You mean buy?

I have got my current used Canon V1 100-400 lens for just 300 euro from a manager of my previous job. Afer 1 year of use by my self it needed a total clean up and revision due some worn rubbers and lose screws and did cost me another 300 euro. It was fully taken appart and cleaned all parts, made as new. But it is an old lens, de newer model takes more ligh and has a faster focus. I almost had one for 750 euro from the same guy but was allready sold.

The Canon 80D camera was by then about 1100 euro, with exchange of my old 600D and getting a 50mm lens with it I had a decent price.

Total gear I have:
- Canon 80D
- Canon EF 50mm - F1.8 lens
- Canon EF-S 18-135 lens
- Canon EF 100-400 lens
- Canon 2x V3 extender
- Old analog 400mm Teleuniversar lens with 2x extender and T2->EF adapter ring
- Old analog Pentacon 50mm F1.8 lens with T2->EF adapter (awesome for macro)
- Yongnuo RT-600EX flashlight
- Cheap Travor RF550D ring flash with several colors filters
- Dual slot charger with some batteries
- Set of focus adapter rings

Was asked if I could shoot some one his car because he had new titanium screws but sticking out the chassis a tiny bit. It is a 1/10 modified car so when it comes out of the corner going onto the straight it shoots from 50 to 130km/h in a blink of the camera shutter. Camera set to 1/2000 sec shutter speed, multishot and hoop for the best. The rest are pics from the same free practise days.
