i just built one with a monster 6.5T have a top mount fan with the carbon fiber diff brace and after 20 min straight running it came off at 115 deg. Running a 17T pinion. The monster gets my vote. I run a 13.5 Monster in my wheeler too

Must haves:

Spare Front and rear gearbox set (aka: bulkheads)
Tekno aluminum shock caps.

Nice to haves (prioritized):
Exotek captured rear outer hinge pin set
Exotek or Trinity center diff brace (bulkhead)
Trinity steering rack set upgrade (cheaper than Exotek)
Shock mounts (the Lunsford ones are nice, or just pick up spare Tekno ones)
Turnbuckles (the Lunsford super-duty are nice and affordable), or just get a spare of the 2 lengths
Exotek spur gear set

My son and I had B64's. I was doing repairs every weekend. If you're learning or a bit reckless, the Tekno will be cheaper and less frustrating. Our Teknos are like tanks. They just don't break. If you're willing to buy some of these upgrades or spares, I don't think the local parts thing will be an issue. What will happen is everyone will see yours and get one too. Then the track owner will start stocking Tekno parts. My $.02
how old is your son? I thought 2wd would be the best to start my 7yr old stepson on but now I hear 4wd is easier. Maybe get him a eb410 and I'll have my et410.

Well I raced tonight. Got like no time on this thing. Was running into traction rolling issue. Have the whole thing setup box stock. Going to be changing springs to red rear and orange front.

I do like how it acts right out of the box

So I had a blast with the ET410 at the track for the first time. Everybody said it is and they are right on the money. It was super fast with the 5T motor. Maybe too fast. LOL. I'm gonna go one more time with it and see how it goes though and then decide to leave the 5T in or switch it to a 6.5. I did break some things and what do ya know, they happened to be the things other people are breaking. I stripped out the plastic servo horn first and then toward the end of the night took out the rear bulkhead. This ended my night with this car since they don't have Tekno parts at my track. The bummer part was that when the inner hinge pin came out when the bulkhead broke I lost all of the spacers that go in front of the rear arm so I had to buy the whole pill block set to get new ones. I put the aluminum horn on it now so we'll see what goes now in that area. Can't wait to go again!!!

I hope the B64 don't go away yet. I haven't even had mine a year yet.

Default Servosaver

Is there a servo saver that will work on the et410? I keep tearing up servos.
thanks Barry

You can use ballstud washers or M3 washers in place of the plastic wheelbase spacers. It's good to have extra pill blocks anyway though so it's good you got that spare part.

We never tested any servo savers but I'm sure you could find one that fits. I would just upgrade to a stronger servo to eliminate the problem.

People seem to recommend a servo with high tq ratings. I ordered a Protek 170sbl for mine shouldn't be a problem.
