What a night! I took the front end all apart only to realize these are the easiest diffs to change out, and then I put both diffs in backwards! After that I then realized how easy the diffs are to replace. Well anyway it will be awhile before I can get back out to the track and try it out. I also plan on running Primes as well. So glad I had the diff oil handy.

After a hiatus of a few years while I raced fpv drones and wings, I cleaned up my outdoor track and roped some flying friends into 1/8 buggy. Winter is upon us, and I have shifted to indoor dirt, raced my ET for the first time last weekend, love it. Running Pro2/5100/16T/rsx- dual drive with 15 deg, and kit setup. What I noticed was as some have described, I lacked control at the end of straight under hard braking, orange front springs helped. Steering was tough into corners until it bit off power, with more push if too hard on power. Also, I was surprised I couldn't get over a big quad that I do with my XB4 regularly, but they were brand new Electrons and the track seems to be favoring slicks or worn electron type, so I will see how next outing goes, Primes on the way, may try gearing up a tooth. I personally tend to make up the most time when I shorten the track with tight corners and consistency, so dropped diffs to 20/30/7. I have been rocking Tekno conversions since before they even made the EB48, still have a pair of OG EB48 and SCT410 going strong, but I have wanted this class for sooo long lol. Can't wait to get back out.

I am having the same problem with jumps as well. I also went to 20/30/7 and have not run it yet. I also just glued up a set of primes today, and they look great, and also added one tooth to the pinion to see what happens, 16 now. The Primes lower it a hair, so the extra tooth was needed.

Just got back from racing and the 20, 30, 7 diff oil is the ticket. I also ran Primes, but forgot to bring the Positrons to compare with. It was a long day, noon til 9:45 PM, then 2 hours back home, arghhh! I am going to put the 6.5 motor in to see if it does better than the 5.0, as I was lacking power. It handled so much better, I was able to bump from the B main to the A. Jumps were also more controllable as well.

Hi guys just bought tekno sct and want to go to the local race, now in winter my offroad race club moved too indoor carpet track without any bumps, so we are doing touring with schort courses, tires allowed only slicks, what kind of setup are you suggesting for my sct?

You might want to post up on the SCT410 thread instead, I'm running an older SCT410.1 on both turf and dirt tracks in my area, here's my turf setup to give you an idea of a decent starting point that's working for me.

I was looking the car over and noticed the left front axle was not aligned correctly, the shaft was bent. I was able to straighten it out, and the arm is usable. The axles are really tough to take that hit. I ordered new arms to be safe. I also added more timing to the motor, now the front end pops up. The car was a blast and I did make the A main with it. I am making some small changes, but slowing down on big changes. I did put a new servo in it, and will see what that does?

Hey guys,

do you know if a hobbywing 3660 motor and the HW XR8 combination would fit in the ET410?

thanks

Are you talking about the inner hinge pin of the arm or the wheel axle itself?

Inner hinge pin. I was really struggling landing my jumps right, tricky turns, and was surprised how tough these things are. The Primes allow a lot of sliding and are very forgiving. I will try the Positrons next time for comparison.

Hey everybody. Im new to the forum but been reading this ET410 thread for a while. I was super happy to see one of the main competition RC manufacturers come out with this platform finally. I have always been an Associated guy but had to have one of these. I think it's bas A$$ and can't wait to take it to the track. Just finished building it today and it was fun to see what Tekno is all about. The build went pretty well. Some things seemed a little overcomplicated but good overall. I am running a Novak Ballistic 6.5 that I've been sitting on for a while waiting for the right car to put it in with a Reedy 1000Z esc. Well at least so far. All the electronics in it are new but the esc keeps shutting off after a minute or so. Not yet sure if it's the esc or the motor. If I got a bad esc thats no problem I'll just send it back but if it's the motor I'll have to go with something different since there is no Novak and I've that for a while.
