Tamiya TT02 Thread

The stock box setup will be fine. The front droop is strange, but comes from the design of the hubs (compared to the rear, where the hubs have some kind of stopper). So you can spend a lot of money to upgrade to a Type S with tuning parts or buy oil shocks (plastic from Tamiya) and use o-rings below the piston to reduce the droop.

Ive been curious as to what Tamiya did to make an oil filled TT-02 diff.. seems not much!!! It uses
1. Gasket from TG10 Mk.2
https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/tamiy...-diff-case-pk/
2. Black 5 mm o-rings which can be found everywhere
3. Metal gears from TG10 Mk.2 as well
4. Metal cross shaft..
Pretty easy stuff.. wish we had this info long ago.. I bet it will leak easily but better than nothing

I just purchased a TT-02 White Edition and find myself like a fish out of water. I plan to use this for some parking lot racing, nothing fancy or organized.
Can anyone offer advice on what KV range I should be looking at? I'm going to buy a cheap sensored combo, since I won't need anything fancy. Will the stock motor mount be an issue? Should I just automatically order the Yeah racing upgrade?

I've always wanted a full bling kit, even though running one will probably result in a broken chassis lol.

I want that Sub Imprezza body but Tamiya didn’t release it as a body set.. you can buy the body for $34 and the decal sheet for $32, no idea where to find that plastic parts spru lol.. or buy the TT-02 kit for $118 (tower coupon) and have a spare car lol.

To get a new body and wheel set for my M05, I bought a complete second M05. Then sold the assembled chassis. I ended up paying $40 for the body and wheels.
