The pictured car is a tube frame silhouette (current Trans Am) car, NOT a "GT" car which uses seam-welded factory unibody. Two completely different animals. I'm tilting at windmills, rightly or wrongly the decision has been made.

I will now change the name of the class to "Looks like real race cars (excluding DP)", since the GT portion of the name has iron clad requirements. Worst thing I ever did was just replace the RC with US in RCGT. Who knew trying to revive a fun class would turn into a 24 hr whine fest.

You made it sound like the McAllister body was some sort of fantasy concoction. It is actually a good representation of that car.
Also, this is another case of people making up standards of what will be allowed in the class in their heads. I will now change the name of the class to "Looks like real race cars (excluding DP)", since the GT portion of the name has iron clad requirements. Worst thing I ever did was just replace the RC with US in RCGT. Who knew trying to revive a fun class would turn into a 24 hr whine fest.

Rob, just keep doing what you're doing....it's not your fault the some people don't understand the difference between a real GT car and a prototype. This is a great class, lots of bodies to choose from and a spec tire. I run USGT and 17.5 TC and Gt is my favorite class because of the (mostly) realistic looking bodies.
