If Tamiya would make a true light weight body that weights 100 grams painted instead of 139 grams for the light weight and 152 for the full weight one, i would run it all day everyday. The issue is that the weight is all on the top and makes the car drive like a dump truck that wants to tip over constantly. I even increased the weight at the chassis by 30 grams to try to offset it and it still wants to flip over.
The nsx body lower cg and profile than the venom gt and looks way better. These are my my actual cars.

First look at the numbers I'm in third position look at my fastest lap same as the first position driver and he's one of the top racers in our entire state of Sunny South Florida he was running a x-ray with a p zero second place car I believe was an awesomatix also running a p zero. My car was a Tamiya ta07 with a Tamiya raikari gt body. I would have finished slightly better had I not clipped another car during passing him and ended up on my lid but I was able to fight my way back up through the remaining 7 cars . The Tamiya bodies work but you have to make them work . First thing you need to use the Tamiya and lightweight Wing set which I use on all of my body's I also have a P0 that I run with sometimes just to mix it up and that uses a Tamiya lightweight rear wing they are excellent

Here are the three bodies I currently alternate between noticed they all have Tamiya lightweight rear wings the NSX provides more neutral handling the raikiri is the most aggressive and the fastest of the three the p 0 handles very similar to the NSX.

Side shot of the body so you can see the profiles and the wings and Wing mounts. On the Tamiya bodies you can adjust the angle of the rear wings notice the difference between the NSX and the raikiri. That little adjustment makes a huge difference in the handling of the body and the way the car rotates in the corners

I always used tire decals and all this to me is what keeps the class fun the realism and I've gotten lots of other drivers to stop running cookie-cutter bodies and come over to the realism Camp once they see it is possible

I have a Venom body coming with af1 paint lab decal set that I will do up really nice with a Tamiya lightweight wing and side mirrors and all I'll post pics and report back on its performance compared to my regular runners when I'm finished with it

I am not racing with my raybrig nsx because that is a discontinued body. I tried to race with the 2005-2007 body which is quit different. It is stubbier and the back is taller. Where do I find the post with the light weight wing? I will give it another shot. The body once I took off all the gorilla tape weights 138 grams. This is the busy I tried and failed with.
Is this the wing? http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-54729-racing-wing-carbon-pattern-p-71140.html?cPath=438_880
