I have a 3pv and is losing its binding . It verys from 2 min to days. So I'm thinking of picking up a spectrum dx5c. I know I'm more less a beginner- intermediate driver. Would spectrum 5c work for onroad racing or is way too slow? Thanks

I'm using a DX4c.. it works. It's old. The 5c is nice. Go for it. That said... lots of people are futaba and sanwa fans. They have their reasons... I've had just one disconnect with my spektrum models.

Urban, its not too slow... 5C is a solid radio at a great price. May not have all the little ergonomic things, screen is little smaller, but for $125... good deal. "notorious" - if anyone knows someone using current Spektrum equipment and having that type of an issue - please, please contact me. Would love to know about it, see it and resolve it, because in the year I have been here I have not seen it.

I have 3 Spektrum radios and use them for on-road and off-road, and in over two years of racing, have never had any unbind from a vehicle (maybe I should knock on wood). The 5C is a great radio for the price.

Had a spectrum dx3c before 3pv. When I changed over to futaba my lap times improved 2-3 seconds
But don't like how fataba is bound to receivers as well.
I would like guys to chime in on there dx5c. For onroad. Is it fast enough? Maybe I should make the jump to dx5pro? Toget the 5ms. But hate to spend double if c works just as good?
I'm going to race this weekend and maybe try other guys radios

On a side note... we have done blind testing with drivers of all different levels. Only 2-3 could actually tell the difference between 5.5ms and 11ms. Even with 1/12 modified cars, which are pretty quick and responsive vehicles.
