Default Piston&sleeve reconditioning resizing - Race Ready

Eduardo (Florida) serviced and return shipped this morning. Tuesday expected delivery. If the COLD weather didn't break, as it did , I would have hopped on a plane and personally delivers package...it was cold here in Buffalo New York.
Thanks!

I have a werks b5 that has scoring on exhaust side of piston. It may also have some aluminum on the sleeve. Is this something that can be "cleaned up" or will it need a new piston-sleeve?

Default Surface finish damage

Hi Speedworks,
surface finish conditions are equally important as the pinch itself. The scoring on sleeve liner you describe may not easily hone put, resulting a sealing loss . depends on the damage.....you can ship the piston and set an I will let you know after iinspection.

Thanks for the info Ray, I found your website also. So when I get it pulled out of engine I'll send it your way. Thanks again

Ray,
Here are a couple pictures of an O.S. .30VG set.
Do you think this set is worth sending in? The gouge in the sleeve can be felt with your finger. What worries me is the spec of what appears to be brass showing through. Thanks.

I wa going to ask a similar question as above. When I pulled my motor for cleaning I noticed a sngle scratch on the skirt on the rear port side it does go up to the carbon line but not all the way up motor still ran fine before being pull. Is it worth being pinched? It’s has about 5 gallons now it’s a b2101

Default unsolvable

Timjs, your p + s set is insalvagable....sorry.
Soryer, your set doesn't sound much better....although is still running.
