Recently my controller and receiver stopped communicating with each other. Its a very old Monster GT and i cant find the original parts online. Can anybody recommend a replacement controller/receiver? Thanks

Just make sure to get something with at least 3 channels since you probably want to maintain a reverse. Definitely dont need to spend a fortune on a 15 year old truck

Did you try to re-bind the receiver?
Is it a Spektrum HRS modul? If so, is the transmitter set to HRS? And if not, is it set to PPM?

+1 to rebinding the Rx, I would search for a copy of the user manual online and follow the instructions.

If you decide to buy a high quality radio system, then I would caution you to stay away from Direct Sequencing (Spektrum, FlySky, Radiopost, etc)

Some top name brands to consider in alphabetical order (Futaba, Graupner, HiTec and Sanwa)

I currently race with Graupner which has proven to be the perfect balance between price and performance to meet my needs, but any of these 4 brands will offer plenty of different features for you to make a solid choice.

OK one more question. The remote "sacmiata" calls out in this forum requires this battery

It takes 4 AA batteries.

Basically the radio can take lipo/life batteries as well but personally I don't think its worth the trouble for most people.

I use these - because the radio is only rated for 3s (the 4s listed is a lie!) I just use the factory battery holder just use 2 batteries and jump the other two spots out with a piece of wire.
