Topic has been covered multiple times in this thread...there are some that swear it matters when it doesn’t. Whichever side is easier for you to adjust from is fine.

My compelling reason is convenience. ! adjust the slipper from the right side so it makes sense to have the diff adjustment on the same side. Functionally, left or right makes no difference. I just want both adjustments on the same side of the car. Call me lazy, but it works for me.

I always install mine with it facing the slipper side. As said above me it won’t hurt to install it either way. But for convenience sake I make all the adjustments face the same side, ergo easier for me to remember.

I'll re-update the FAQ, apparently rctech's transition to new picture system didn't carry the stuff I had over. All the manuals from the recent vehicles show passenger side for the diff screw.

On another topic: Are we going to continue this thread if a 6.1 comes out or start a new one?

I vote to just update the title. There’s a huge amount of info discussed here. And if it’s just an updated car, not a new car... I don’t see a need for a new thread.

So, Im helping the neighbor kid with his b6 club racer and I can not get the 600z esc to calibrate. Anyone have issues with the 600?

It does fine until I try to calibrate full reverse/brake. Instead of saving the setting, It starts flashing the red led.. Im out of ideas. Ive tried 2 different radio systems.

Ive been racing since the late 90's, so I know what Im doing. But maybe Im overlooking something? I plan to call AE tomorrow if I cant figure it out today.

Thanks!

Try reversing the throttle channel. If that fails to work up the endpoints for the throttle channel. I have never messed with that esc before. But on some combinations of esc and radio the endpoints do not go far enough at 100%. So increasing the endpoints to the max may help solve this issue.

I need similar help and can't seem to find a forum for the Reedy 510r. I have two new units and am also experienced enough that usually no issues. Both unit went through normal start up and calibration and are working appropriately.
The problem is with the programmer2 as it will not go past the firmware screen where it's supposed to say standard or expert. It did it once on the second unit and let me make changes, but now it won't do it again and the other unit it never even gave me the once. Either locks on first screen or second and then back to first. It must be the programmer as I had this happen once with a Viper programmer, but just surprised and annoyed if this is the case as it's my first time attempting reedy electronics. Tried to download their firmware and the computer won't recognize the programmer either.
Thanks for any help

Oddball question. Has anybody tried any other outdrives for the gear diff? The ae ones don't seem to last very long before being extremely notched.

Sounds like somehow your software versions aren’t the same. As in the box has version A and the speedo has version b. Try call the truck support line and have them walk you through the process. I’m sure you know what your doing but may be doing it out of order. Or something along those lines. A better place to ask electronic questions is under the radio and electronics section. Also try searching the forums using the search tool at the top of every screen.

Thanks, I have been doing that and have been amazed that I can't find a reedy electronics or 510r specific forum.

Unplug the ESC from the rx and disconnct the sensor wire from the motor and try it that way. I have seen ESCs that refused to reconize the program boxes while hooked up. Normally its just the rx wire but pull them both and try the programer.
