All good things to consider.
I'd buy you a full steak dinner if you could put a D216 in the top 5 in stock at my local track......

I'd buy the car at my local hobby store to keep their doors open unless the price was a big difference. I'm not so sensitive on price, but am looking to get the most bang for buck. Carbon arm inserts are $50 on a D413. Alum hubs are $30, Aluminum steering rack is around $30 on other cars.. That's over $100 in parts that I'd have to fork out in my D413.

Nonetheless, the Tekno is still very Appealing.
I can tell you after building this and a D413 this was WAY more enjoyable in building. During the build of the D413 I probably wanted to throw and break things more than once. The way the kit and instructions were laid out were perfect. Hands down the kit was made really well..

Also I did notice that all the ball studs that came with this kit seemed to be titanium and where aluminum needs to be it was there for strength.

Going to hit the track with mine tonight..

My LHS just got a full order of replacement and option part in stock this week.. Of course I live in San Diego and this is also the track a good amount of testing was done on this buggy..

Other places should have parts in stock this week.

Aluminum while stronger also means it is heavier. Just looking at my buggy I the way it is overbuilt I can't see much breaking unless you like hitting poles.

I'm definitely starting with the optional spur if I can get it before finishing the kit. The rest will be trial and error gearing lol

Default wow...

Half way through the build...

I can't imagine breaking anything on this chassis doing anything remotely sensible.

I.E. you aren't going to break it driving around your local RC track.

Good luck at the track.

Dunno why you had any trouble with the d413 build. It was a smooth build for me and without anything noteworthy. One of the best quality kits I've ever dealt with. Instructions aren't for the kid or novice so much but are good for an experienced modeler.

The tekno instructions look very well detailed and done with lots of care. They and xray probably have the best on the market at the moment.

Please post some pics for us to see on how yours turned out.
