the front wing of the 2012 is too soft , it's bending and scuff to the ground

I know the F60 is probably the most popular, any performance differences between the F60 and the MP4-24?
As pointed out already the front wing is just too "soft" and bends too easily... I also am not a fan of the multi part Tamiya bodies - realism yes but a PITA to put together IMO. Give me a PF body any day :P

Have finally found time to assemble the TRF102 I had sitting on the shelf.
Thought I would share the build pics - even though it is an older kit...

Going to do the body up as the Renault R25.
Thanks for looking!

Trimmed and ready for paint. Gonna have a buddy paint it for me - does awesome work (and he can have it painted before I can mask one side ).

Thanks!

Probably gonna stay on the shelf... It's kit spec., nothing special.
Our local track closed back in January, and when I do run down in Dallas (4hr away) I don't take the F1's.

I have two VBC Lightning FX's anyway, plus a TRF101 [and, like, 8 other F1's ] Would love to take it to a smooth, purpose built asphalt track though. Wish we had something like that.

Quick question for everyone here, what spur gear (brand) are you all using? Robinson? Kimbrough? Other?

Ebay? Why don't you just get the new black version? I mean, are you just wanting the blue anodizing?

I'm thinking of picking up the black one just so it's NOT the blue.

And sorry, don't want to sell the 102.

Yeah Tamiya blue is one of the reasons I buy the brand.

I hear'ya, love the blue too - why I am an Associated fanboy as well. I do have an F104 Dark Titanium edition, and it's probably one of my favorites - and I think mostly because it isn't blue like all my other Tamiya chassis'.

But I love the blue crack too, so I understand your addiction.

Thanks to my bud slotracerbobby for painting up the Renault R25 for me.
Got the stickers done and plan on working on the Alonso helmet over the next week. Here's a few shots of it.

Thanks for looking! Hope to get the helmet done faster than the body.

Hi all,
Just got a hold of one of these guys and very excited to try F1. Was wondering the consensus of sanding and sealing the chassis edges with CA? Would always do this with CF sedans, but wasn't sure on this car. Figured it may help stiffen the chassis some and at the very least it will look pretty.

Thoughts for or against?

If you have ever picked up a good CF splinter off the edge of a chassis or any piece for that matter you wouldn't have to ask that question.
