I tried that and I still had battery-sliding issues. The battery didn't always come out completely, but it would slide around just enough to change the car's weight balance, which was irritating. Also, as the tape wiggled as the battery moved, bits of the adhesive surface would be exposed and immediately contaminated with road dust, reducing the surface area of the adhesive and making the battery more likely to come loose later in the run.

I looked but I don't have pictures of what I did. It's an ash and simple fix.

Run longer counter sunk screws through the tape mounts, then get a couple of 10mm post and run them down on the exposed threads. Tape battery like normal, then cut a strip in half length wise. Tape the side of the battery similar to the way you do the top. Now you have tape on top and the sides. Between that and the anti slip tape I didn't have a problem with battery movement.

Found one of my TA07. It's not a great pic, but you can see the post and the tape on the side of the battery. Hope this helps

Hey professor wish you were still a Tamiya guy. I just ran my 419x on Saturday and did pretty good!

My first RC car was an original Frog back in the 80's. I will always be a Tamiya guy.

Interesting idea, making a side-strap mount using longer screws and a couple spacers. I'll have to keep that one in mind.

I thought the TA-07 had a tub chassis, though? Has Tamiya released a CF chassis for it already?

Nope. Someone had converted there 419 to use the ta07 motor mount though, it was quite interesting.

I don't have my FF-04 Evo anymore so the sliding-battery problem isn't a concern for me anymore, but it's good to know there are battery retainers available in case I ever get another CF double-deck car. I don't mind drilling extra holes in the chassis to add them; I just like that extra bit of mechanical retention instead of relying on friction and adhesive.
no this one

- 2mm Aluminium Chassisplatte - 3450822
- 1.75mm Carbon Oberdreck - 3404068

I drive Tamiya and use parts from other manufacturers if it helps.

Can someone explain (with pictures) how to install in the front inside a whole block, like Christian Donath in the setup E05?

sosidge, the 1 05E Block with G05 in Front is the setup from the XRays

Also, can someone create the flip chart of the new blocks?

I like the optional aluminum chassis plate. It might be easier to bend, but it won't get shredded by rough pavement.

Can you get a one way diff for the 419x? Been searching around but i only find the pulley itself. Not the bearings or hub.
