Either way...go for it!

I cannot even imagine 6s being usable on anything less then an airport runway. My RX8/Teken T8 setup and my Castle MMX/Sensonered setup, both on 4s with a 16t pinion, are 50+ mph trucks. I want to say 6s would be getting into the 70+ mph range.
Either way...go for it!

Hi everyone
I had finished building my MT410 what were in the box. this is my first Tekno kit.
Every things were great and smooth build, great quality.
For the Wheels arms, 4mm drill bit won't make the hole free for the shaft,
I had to used a 5/32 round file to fix up the hole. Just ran it though a little bit and it is perfect.
Only thing was wrong was the motor mount insert , can't slide in with the motor.
Tekno is sending me a new one.
Now my problem is gears ratio, 15/44T spur gear is a little too high for this monster truck, I wanted more gears and motors options , most Tekno gears were made for buggy and Truggy with small wheels , only one spur gear 44T,
And a 4272 can motor won't fit well with 15/44 spur gear. 4072 is just OK.
4272 motor is too big and hit the support braces and won't go any farther.
With 16 or 17T pinion may be OK, but it will be over gears for tall tires over 6.00in.
I had asked Tekno if they make option parts for using big spur gears, and the answer is no. That is why they suggested using proline shock wave or 3.8 badlands, those were all under 6.00in.
My plan is a Graupner 1/8 2000KV sensors or a SMC 1900KV sensors motor,
A Graupner GM Ultra 180 telemetry ESC. run on 4s lipo.
Tires will be a set of proline 3.8 badlands .
I had read and learn a lot from this forum, you guys are great.
I learned a few tips about turning the droop screw up side down, making chassis and motor support braces. Using Losi 8 center diff.
Now I have an idea for Mod this truck to have better gears ratio.
I am going to raise the motor, CD and support brace by 2mm, using a piece of aluminum, and raise the CD top plate too or make a wider CD open hole top plate with 4mm aluminum, use a Losi 8 CD with 45 or 46T spur gears, and now I can use some bigger motor and smaller pinion gears.
Will this be a good idea?
"I shall be in vacation for the next few weeks, I am going to order the Losi CD DIFF KITS , so I can test out my idea unit back from vacation "
Cheers

Hi guys
FYI
I had successfully raised the motor mount, CD mount, support brace and the top plate by 1.47mm.
Just can't wait too long, so Sunday night I found a piece of 1.47mm aluminum and go ahead to make the spacers. Vola it is done.
Now I have 2.47mm gaps from the 44T spur gear to the chassis.
44T is 46mm, 46T is 48mm, test out a team Associated 46T CD and still have
1.3mm gap left, may be 48T will fit too.
Now instead of getting a whole set CD from Losi, I use the 48T spur from Tekno
TKR5415C 48T steel gear.
I prefer 48T spur gear that gave me more power options when I use different sizes of tires, just simply change the pinion gears.

Noticed they have new products (front/rear suspension supports) in stock for the MT410, but wonder if these are really needed or just overkill?

It's not really a bad idea. It should move the impact force to the a-arms instead of the suspension blocks which can help prevent a run from getting cut short if the hinge pins come out after an impact (could also bend hingepins easier). I usually only get it for the front end though.

...I'll only be on 4S. So I guess the only ones that do not look like pizza cutters are the shockwaves??

(must be made well)
