New to the hobby again (did it in the 80s - RC10 gold pan) Just put together a used B5m and added the Turnigy Trackstar 80A Turbo. Now building a used Kyosho RB6 will I see a difference and what is the difference between the Trackstar Brushless Turbo 120A ESC V2 and the TrackStar GenII 120A ESC. Sorry can't post links yet. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys have a 80A turbo and go through all the programming. Seems to go well, after I finish the 3 lights lite in sequence then the yellow light just flashes and the esc does nothing ( no throttle no nothing). Any suggestions?

The gen2 120 is a rebranded toro or sky ts120 esc. I have a toro ts120 and it's a great ESC.

These don't work without the sensor wire but I think you can still calibrate to the radio.

Does anyone know if the Toro/SkyRC ProgBox will work with the GenII 120amp Trackstar ESC? The Trackstar programmer is not really available in US, and is out of stock on most sites, so looking for options. Thanks.

I've read most of the posts in this section and I've seen it asked several times, but is there a different programming option out there for the 120a Gen II ESC? The Multi-function Smart Box is only available in Singapore and is back ordered. Can I use a different box, Hobbywing, SkyRC, and how? Thanks....

Hi - I have 2 Turnigy Trackstar Turbo 80a esc and I am facing following issue on both : when I go reverse, I can not go forward before the car stops. This is a big issue as there is no way to brake before car stops by itself (or there is a delay).
Note that I do not have this issue with my other esc and I have done proper calibration on both.
How can I change the settings to avoid this?
Thanks
Julien

We use SPEKTRUM DX4-C TX and RX.
I tried to reverse the throttle but I can not calibrate.
Any suggestion/ideas on how to fix it? It is really super boring.
Thanks!

Hi,
my Turnigy Trackstar 80A Turbo Sensored Brushless ESC is dead. Well, not entirely, so I am hoping I can revive it. I ran it today in my touring car with a timed 10.5T motor, in blinky mode. Done so a few times before. I crashed (did that a few times before, too...) and the wheels don't turn anymore. The ESC was barely warm to the touch, it is not in overheating mode. It is like the Rx doesn't send a signal to the ESC, the ESC is waiting for the signal to innitiate. I checked the Rx (put a servo in place of the ESC) and it works fine. When I remove the sensor wire from the ESC, the ESC goes into stress mode so it does see the sensors when plugged in. The BEC is also working. I opened the ESC and checked the wiring and connections. Besides a little dirt inside the ESC, which I cleaned out, everything looks fine. I measured from plug to ESC main board, good contacts. So, what next to try before forking out euros again to buy a new ESC?
Cheers,
Hugo
