Servo saver nut is fine and when it comes to the servo horn "im using the tekno aluminum one" do i tighten down the main screw first before the screw that clamps it close? Or the other way around?

If you don't have a wrench, next best thing is to take them off and hand tighten them and measure with a caliper until both sides match up. Takes a lot longer though.

Yes I used the washers behind the sun gears but I didn't need the other shims that go outside the diff.

I finally got past the suspension build of the buggy. All that's left is the side pods and electrics etc.

I will say I thought the front shock collars felt stiffer than any TLR I ever built and the rears felt about right...maybe a touch looser than the TLRs I've built. I don't think either will move during normal operations.

Car is really narrow compared to the 8ights I've built but the Tekno just feels so solid and well built that it's ridiculous. Even the bolts are larger and over built.

Nice looking car.

Argh. Spektrum servo wire is about an inch too short! Also had to ream the plastic area around where the servo wire plugs into the servo to get it in there. Now I have to order a 12 inch wire because the 8 is too short. Delays!

Just use a 3" or 6" servo extension, you can usually find them at any LHS in your area.
that's what most did when running the 48.2 & 48.3 when the servo wire was too short.
I used one for 2yrs without any failures or issues

Thanks for the info. I can't find one of those motor mounts available anywhere in the US, though I did see one in stock in Europe. I just went ahead and bought a new motor, mine had 3 solid seasons on it so it wasn't unreasonable to replace.

My Spektrum is crammed in there so tight because of the removable rubber wire gasket thing. I dont know how it still works being that pinched lol. Also had to use a 12 inch wire.

Yes I use velcro only. I have the body mounts ground flush, and no holes in the body.

anyone else have the small screws that hold the battery tray to the chassis...stick out the bottom of the chassis a bit?

These are the TKR1341 M4x6mm screws that require threadlock. If i back them out enough to be flush with the chassis they are way loose....
