SC10 4x4 Thread
You can probably make some of the common adjustments on the camber links to help cut down on the amount of roll you are experiencing. I dont' recall any of those settings being anything different that what is common on other trucks.

I put in a lot of work on the ProSC/Prolite chassis. Very underestimated and with a little work will surprise all the big boys. Go over to the ProSC thread, grab a coke/beer, and read it through. We've covered pretty much everything soup to nuts on that truck and the info you get from that thread will set you up for success with it. I've run it back to back with my SC10 4x4 FT, on tight layouts it's a wash, but on larger, flowing layouts I'm faster with the Pro.

Well it took a little digging, but I finally found this dead thread.I'm sure everyone has moved on to shaftys, but I run up on one of these trucks in my kHz on consignment.140.00 rtr.now she needed some love but I always wanted one,but 8th scale has always ruled my world.but 10th scale has picked up and out of 9 race cars of all kinds,no 4x4 sct.soooooo.I rebuilt the truck with some need parts,i came with a castle 3800kv sct system.I put it on the track for the first outdoor race around here and WON.ok ok only 4 were there, but hey a win is a win.with the castle system and slow servo in it,it was easy to drive consistently, well cause it was slow.I wanted a bit more power so I did the research and looked into rx8 and 550 motor setups.for to messing around in the shop and found a esc(x car beast series)120amp.I put this up a few months ago due to not having a programmer for in and in 2wd anything I like some boost.well I soldered the casle 1410 3800 up to the esc in blinky mode.to my surprise this setup is smoking fast.I can't believe how much of a difference that esc made to that motor.runs more like a e buggy than a 10th scale.I know no one races these anymore but I'm going to field it in our local s ct challenge series,I'll update as the season unfolds.

Good vehicle though for what it is.

I like older cars everyone else has giving up on.I still race a 22 first gen,sct22 first gen.won a big 27 car field of 2wd mod class last summer and podium finished alo t.so this truck falls right in there with them.I've got to do the shock 8mm spacers today.only other mod I'm thinking of is the front slipper lock plate.

I don't think I'll be getting into all that.just a club racer.my main classes are all 2wd,4wd is just for shits and giggles.but there will be the occasional big race and this will be a great filler class rig.and you never know when just a consistent run can take you to a win, even up against monster hp shafty trucks.I think keeping it simple will make the truck more reliable and therefore fun.

I added the spacers(leftover rubber shock spacers from a Tamiya lunchbox kit I built for my girls)8 mm seems to be to long though.I do run boots, there was a small maybe 2 mm spacer under those on first rebuild when I removed internal stops.but after using my calipers and cutting 4 8 mm spacers, the shocks stop at maybe 2mm before the chassis slaps.now I have done this on the rear of my 2wd buggys before, but they are not as heavy as this truck is.I'll do some testing and might cut off a couple mm just to feel better about it.I can just see flat landing a huge jump and distroying the shock caps.but I'll give it a try.

I'm with ya 100% bud. I love the older discontinued AE vehicles. Parts are dirt cheap, AE supports there old stuff really well. I could care less if no one around me runs them! I have just as much fun with no, sometimes more fun running my SC10's (2wd non hex,sc10 hex, sc10.2,SC10 4x4, GT2's,SC10GT's and SC8's) on practice days. They are all solid, well supported race vehicles that certainly hold there own. Keep em alive!
